Blondie's Pringles ~ Coco, Lexi, Crash & Psycho

So the decision was completely up to Carl, because Xena was his babygirl, and I know no-one else in the world can ever replace her... but he has always wanted to raise a baby dragon, seeing as how 3 of our 4 are rescues, and adults when we took them in...

So darn if they aren't totally like, well as fresnowitte says, P-R-I-N-G-L-E-S-!

So Carl picked out his baby... it'll take a little while to name her, we have to see her personality. Welcome into our hearts, little one... almost 14 inches / 166 grams / crazy hyper personality so far ...
111210-bg01.jpg

As soon as we got her out of the packaging, she made a bee-line for my son's leg & pancaked out, so CJ got the first real snuggles, he's my little seatwarmer:
111210-bg02.jpg

Look at that sweet face:
111210-bg04.jpg

111210-bg05.jpg

Ooh, soft, what's this?
111210-bg06.jpg

Yum, salad... nom nom nom...
111210-bg07.jpg

Hey, lady, I cleaned my plate, can I have more?...
111210-bg08.jpg

Oh, wait, ...
um, what else was I gonna say? ...
Oh, yeah,

There's MORE!

I had to crop that first picture, look really closely...
111210-1-unwrapping.jpg

did you look really really close?
???
Really?

111210-lg01.jpg

111210-lg02.jpg

Barbara was worrying about finding this little guy a special home, and Carl fell in love with him/her too... so he's our "little guy/gal"... Quasi now looks huge, and Crash looks like Godzilla compared to these two!

So meet little guy / 60 grams / 11 inches ... so laid back, just watches everything going on, and eats and eats and eats (hand-fed salad today  )
111210-lg03.jpg

111210-lg04.jpg

Just a little stress going from Cali to Ohio...
111210-lg07.jpg

Bath time! This little one loves to swim already!
111210-lg08.jpg

111210-lg09.jpg

Ooh, what's this?
111210-lg10.jpg

111210-lg11.jpg

Ooh, what's up here -- slowly progressed up the branches, then just watched us and all the activity in the room for about an hour...

plus Lexi is still pouting... we are still trying to get all the finish work done on the new picture window... so we have to wait until foam sets up / caulk dries etc for outgassing... don't want to gas our babies. I think she will enjoy that spot now, with no drafties!!!

I followed your window home on your Facebook page, so glad you got it home in one piece, it'll look great once it's all finished. Good for you for getting it home!

well, every little booger wants to hide and brumate right now. I think Coco is going to go complete out for long periods like last year... that was so HARD!!! I worried like the dickens about her, would sit there forever just watching to make sure she was breathing, etc...

Lexi is giving us complete evil eyes today... daddy moved her bridge so she would get some warmth... she is not amused... brat. And Psycho is happy to just hide under her branches, at least she is on the warm side.

Update on Draco, my friend Jessyca's dragon... he gained 53 grams with using the Carnivore Care... and his fat stores on his head & tail are plumping back up... and he's even getting just a smidge of a chub chin... so we've just got to watch & maintain that, I told Jessyca to keep up on the baths, and weigh him thru the winter and jot it down... we'll intervene again if he starts losing again, we think a lot of it was just that he felt her wedding stress... but now that the wedding is done, he has his mommy back to normal LOL

I had everything needed to intervene, and just showed her what to do to nurse him for a couple weeks... he is doing so much better!

It's always hard when your dragons decide it's time to sleep. I'm surprised that mine are all still up and eating. Gabriel and Didi can see each other now and spend a lot of time trashing their tanks (there's a video of Gabriel on my thread if you have a minute), even Rubio is up and I thought he'd be asleep last month! I'm enjoying it while it lasts as I'm sure Leo, Rubio and Didi will sleep eventually.

I'm so glad the Carnivore Care came in handy, Dawn, it's wonderful stuff, I always have some on hand. Right now Titan is getting it because he won't eat his bugs, just a few nibbles on greens. He, Didi and Leo are to the vet on Friday, Leo because I'm tired of giving him CPR every time he drinks water, it's been the same since January and I'm surprised he's not really dehydrated. But time to have his throat checked to see why he keeps holding the water in his throat/beard and then stops breathing. Brat. Titan has almost fininshed his body shed. The shed came off his heat and took a lot of scales with it, so he has a white part now that I don't know if it will grow back. I'm not sure if the YF went away along with the shed, so having the vet check him. Didi is going because he has an abcess in his mouth behind his side lips that he's having shots for & Nolvadent twice a day, but it's still bleeding sometimes. So they are keeping me busy. I'm just glad I'm still off work for all this stuff, start a few shifts beg Dec, will see how that goes.

Saw the pics of Jessyca at her wedding, beautiful!

I know just how you feel, Dawn. Everyone is hiding and sleeping more, including my baby Gianna. I keep telling her that babies aren't supposed to brumate, but she's not listening to me.

That's great news that Draco is bouncing back. I'm sure Jessyca was worried. She's very lucky to have you showing her the way.

bah ~ everyone wants to brumate... maybe we humans should take the hint and sleep for a week at a time too? LOL Hope everyone is doing well, we are in the midst of our Winter Market, so the craziness won't end until January 1st here...

I so agree, even though I'm off work again, it's not like I can just take a week off. Only Gabriel seems to think it's still summer, he's buzzing around and can't figure out why no-one else is. Rubio is sound asleep & if Didi wasn't still getting shots for an abcess, he'd be asleep, too. Soon, though. Leo looks like he's about to sleep, too...but I did see my grandson today so here are a couple of pics. He's so sweet and is really verbal, smiling, giggling, yelling, so cute!

Good luck with your market, hope you have lots & lots of sales.

squeeeee!! I am so glad you have gotten to see him, of course we should get to see our grands everyday IMHO... LOL (I know, that's not feasible!)

Sales are not too bad, we already know our health insurance premiums are raising $140/month starting Jan 1, so this will be our stockpile for grocery monies for the first few months into the year, in essence, we're taking a $140 pay cut from the insurance raising, and another $40 cut for our "mandated EPA sewer bill hike" for our water bill... so I'm already behind, and 2014 isn't even here yet.

I hope the US survives what Obama has done to it. I used to be middle class white collar. Now I make LESS than people on welfare.

I can't get over what Obama has done with the health care, it was supposed to be like what we pay in Canada. I pay $62/m for my health care, which is doctors, specialists, operations, 4 bed rooms in hospitals. I pay a lot for extended health, which covers dentist, physio, chiro, prescriptions, ambulance and a lot of other things. And if your income is less than $20k up here, you don't pay premiums at all. Of course it can take a long time to see a specialist up here & it took 5 mo for me to get the MRI on my ankle and I just saw the intake at the hospital last Wed. I need surgery on my ankle but it could take a year before I see the surgeon. So that's the negative side. I keep thinking you were all better off before this came into play.

I'm glad you're doing well at the Market, since it just started. It will be a great help to you for the first few months of 2014, which will help, I'm sure.

Isn't Leo cute, being my first grandchild I just want to see him all the time. For some reason I can't see him during the week when Tara is home, only on Eric's 1 day off (he works 6 days a week & very long days sometimes) which is why I hardly see him at all. Also explains how Tara feels about me. Oh well, that visit yesterday was worth my birthday & Xmas and at least she posts pics on Facebook that I copy off to my family by email. I just copy them off and send them to everyone.

You take care and don't freeze!

yup, as of Jan 1, we will be paying nearly $600/month premium for the health insurance... AND still have office visit co-pays, Rx are still not cheap but necessary for hubby's back injury. So literally, 2014 will be taking 1/3 of his disability pay for just health insurance. Yup, the big "O" has totally screwed this country. I used to be comfortable. Now we are barely hanging on to our house, etc. Hence going 5 months without a vehicle when the car died last Feb. We are keeping the house as cool as we can without harming dragons, and we are bundling up. I pray nothing major happens this year, as our savings is gone from medical bills and the cost of living rising.

Makes me want my log cabin in the woods even more, just shut the world out and keep to myself. Crime / breakins are creeping closer to our end of town, two blocks of cars got windows smash/grab a couple weeks ago for anything that could be looted. House breakins are now coming to within a mile of us for the trend. Bar fight stabbing just last night, 1.5 miles up the road from us. I don't like it. I am starting to think more and more we need a gated community of all us beardie friends & some of my quilting friends, where we can all survive and not worry about how bad things have gotten out there.

Life is so unfair sometimes & Obamacare is sure not helping on top of the country trying to recover.

Sorry to hear about cars and houses being broken into, hopefully yours won't be one of them. We were having trouble with storage rooms, so I emptied mine and won't bother with one anymore, not worth the locks being broken and there was nothing in there that was worth anything. Being on the 3rd floor is handy, too, not many break-ins in my building but lots of mayhen down the road and across the bridge.

Rubio's now sounds asleep and looks like Didi and Leo might be next. Gabriel still thinks it's summer even though it's only about 30F outside, he's a nutbar  And Lonzo is his usual mellow self, he's napping right now. Titan is gearing up for another shed, have to put his cream on, he just hates that. I think he's going to shed his face soon, he was rubbing it and was doing the crazy eye thing this am.

I'm glad you got to see your grandson, Deb. He's adorable!

I'm not affected by the health care law, yet. It may come, though. I can't afford to have my health care costs rise any more. I pay just over $200 every month right now. If what I've been hearing about other health costs rising happens to me, I will have to pay their penalty as I can't afford things now as it is.

Just dropping in to say hi. I seem to have been dropped while I was gone for a bit. :banghead:
I can't find several of my friends, so I hope they find me once my thread is unlocked and I am posting again. :D
Did y'all have a good Christmas? Sorry the new year isn't looking on the financial front. It doesn't help that most of us are in the same boat. :angry5: Too bad there is nothing anyone can do. Maybe it won't be so bad. Have you bought a lottery ticket lately?

((((HUGS))))) to all,
Sandy H

LOL Sandy, I usually only buy 1-2 lottery tickets a year... we got our statement from the retirement ... yup, $140 paycut, its all going to the health insurance premium. Ouch.

January / February are usually pretty slow in the etsy front, so I'll be looking for work outside the home, at a minimum to cover those two new costs. Going to be fun with my new health issues, hubby is worried about the stress on me, but we'll see.

Lexi & Coco are still going nutso 4-5 days a week, still cannot figure out what the deal is. Psycho just looks at us like "mom, they're crazy"!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
