Blondie's Pringles ~ Coco, Lexi, Crash & Psycho

So the decision was completely up to Carl, because Xena was his babygirl, and I know no-one else in the world can ever replace her... but he has always wanted to raise a baby dragon, seeing as how 3 of our 4 are rescues, and adults when we took them in...

So darn if they aren't totally like, well as fresnowitte says, P-R-I-N-G-L-E-S-!

So Carl picked out his baby... it'll take a little while to name her, we have to see her personality. Welcome into our hearts, little one... almost 14 inches / 166 grams / crazy hyper personality so far ...

As soon as we got her out of the packaging, she made a bee-line for my son's leg & pancaked out, so CJ got the first real snuggles, he's my little seatwarmer:

Barbara was worrying about finding this little guy a special home, and Carl fell in love with him/her too... so he's our "little guy/gal"... Quasi now looks huge, and Crash looks like Godzilla compared to these two!

So meet little guy / 60 grams / 11 inches ... so laid back, just watches everything going on, and eats and eats and eats (hand-fed salad today :mrgreen: )

Just a little stress going from Cali to Ohio...

Ooh, what's up here -- slowly progressed up the branches, then just watched us and all the activity in the room for about an hour...

Oh dont get me started on nurses!!! my grandpa fell in december and became paralyzed, we have had our share of crappy nurses so i know how you feel dont be afraid to hunt them down and put them in their place they should know better

Dawn, how is Carl's father doing? I'm guessing you are in the hospital with him. It sounds like he doesn't have much time left.

Carl and his uncle have the a.m. shift today, so I am waiting on a report... he was declining fast, so I don't think there is much time left, but its still hard to watch. After his stroke 14 years ago, he tried to become a total loner, so this constant influx of people has him a little overwhelmed... he is just not used to having 20-30 people visit him per day. Will update when I know more... I'm off to make another dreamcatcher to relieve my stresses of staying home this a.m., really cannot concentrate enough on my sewing / quilting so need to do something mindless... hoping weaving the catcher helps.

Sidenote, when watering the garden today, found a couple beautiful huge blooms on the zucchinin plants... I've been waiting!!!

mustards are doing well in back garden...

my hens and chicks are exploding... this frond keeps getting longer and longer... its bowing with its own weight!

and here is a dreamcatcher we just made... its easy to travel for hospital time...

just got a text from hubby's sister, "going to hospital, bad... not long now" -- so we're off, hopefully it will be a peaceful ending for his dad...

earlier tonight, his O2 sats were below 65 and he was gasping for air... the nursing staff said "oh, we hadn't notice it before". ugh. Got Carl off to spend the night with him at the hospital, he and his sister are staying tonight, because they don't know if he'll make it thru the nite.

I understand, when my husbands mother died (almost 14 years ago, now) She was in a Hospital in Tucson, AZ. We went that night but had to come back to S.V. that night but she died about 6am the next day. In spite of the fact that she wasn't really a nice loving mother, it was still hard to watch. When my dad died (7 years ago on Sunday) that was really hard to watch. We saw him every day, so we saw him go down hill faster that way.

I'm sorry, I know how hard this is to watch.

He went as peaceably as possible, under the circumstances, just before 10 EST today. Carl is still at the hospital because his 1/2 sister is still a wreck, I told him I'll see him when I see him. Besides, he offered to be the heavy for ID'ing at the M as well as the crematorium.

On the "family front", Carl and I have already had a few long talks, because one particular family member is already seeming to pull crap. I told him that if push comes to shove, do not let his sister be screwed over, he is the big brother, oldest son -- so he may need to step in and make things right. Basically its a person who has no entitlement that has control, and we think this person may have already dissolved a lot of the financial. Its not about the money to us. Its about what's right. And this person is already giving us red flags galore that greed is at hand. Ugh.

I'm so sorry about Carl's dad, but also glad he passed quickly & with his family around him. As for the creep who's in charge of financials, I can only wish you & Carl good luck with that. I know it's not about the money but it can create alot of bad feelings among the family members, when they should all be having good memories of their dad. Good luck to you all.
