Blondie's Pringles ~ Coco, Lexi, Crash & Psycho

So the decision was completely up to Carl, because Xena was his babygirl, and I know no-one else in the world can ever replace her... but he has always wanted to raise a baby dragon, seeing as how 3 of our 4 are rescues, and adults when we took them in...

So darn if they aren't totally like, well as fresnowitte says, P-R-I-N-G-L-E-S-!

So Carl picked out his baby... it'll take a little while to name her, we have to see her personality. Welcome into our hearts, little one... almost 14 inches / 166 grams / crazy hyper personality so far ...
111210-bg01.jpg

As soon as we got her out of the packaging, she made a bee-line for my son's leg & pancaked out, so CJ got the first real snuggles, he's my little seatwarmer:
111210-bg02.jpg

Look at that sweet face:
111210-bg04.jpg

111210-bg05.jpg

Ooh, soft, what's this?
111210-bg06.jpg

Yum, salad... nom nom nom...
111210-bg07.jpg

Hey, lady, I cleaned my plate, can I have more?...
111210-bg08.jpg

Oh, wait, ...
um, what else was I gonna say? ...
Oh, yeah,

There's MORE!

I had to crop that first picture, look really closely...
111210-1-unwrapping.jpg

did you look really really close?
???
Really?

111210-lg01.jpg

111210-lg02.jpg

Barbara was worrying about finding this little guy a special home, and Carl fell in love with him/her too... so he's our "little guy/gal"... Quasi now looks huge, and Crash looks like Godzilla compared to these two!

So meet little guy / 60 grams / 11 inches ... so laid back, just watches everything going on, and eats and eats and eats (hand-fed salad today  )
111210-lg03.jpg

111210-lg04.jpg

Just a little stress going from Cali to Ohio...
111210-lg07.jpg

Bath time! This little one loves to swim already!
111210-lg08.jpg

111210-lg09.jpg

Ooh, what's this?
111210-lg10.jpg

111210-lg11.jpg

Ooh, what's up here -- slowly progressed up the branches, then just watched us and all the activity in the room for about an hour...

I apologize ahead of time if I am hard to reach for a couple days ~ my son got jumped after school and beat up, so we'll be dealing with police / school / etc for a couple days... The coward that jumped him laid his first strike as a from-behind-sucker punch to put CJ down ~ then after he was down, the kid started kicking him in the head and punching him. CJ said "I surrender" numerous times, and this creep kept at it. CJ was already starting to swell by the time he got home (school is about a mile away) ~ and to top it off, this little creatin took my son's prescription glasses (after smashing them), which he cannot see without. I am livid!

So now we've got to first figure out the kid's identity (he's not in any of CJ's classes, so CJ doesn't know this little creep) ~ then press charges for aggravated assault and theft. NO ONE around him helped him, which makes me even more livid, as there are nearly 900 kids at this middle school, of which about 300 walk right past where this happened (on the lawn just OFF school property).

I need tonight to settle myself down so I don't go in there tomorrow ready to kick ars and take names. Our public school has "no bullying" enforcement ~ yeah, right. Apparently there were numerous kids swarming the front doors to get out after the final bell rang for the day, and CJ was in the mass of bodies. He got squished into this kid, and this kid said "get off me or I'll hit you". CJ said "I kind of can't, I'm being pushed because there's too many people". This kid then followed him and beat him up.

OMG Dawn, poor CJ I hope you find this kid & make the charges stick. That is terrible that other students walked by & didn't try to stop the beating, that's just monsterous. And even his glasses? What a slimy troll :angry5: I hope everything goes smoothly for you and CJ. I can understand you having to have quiet time to get your head together, I'd be wanting to injure this kid greatly, too, and make sure the school is held responsible for the mass exodus of the kids at day end. And off the school property, even though the threat was said on school property. What a mess this kid has caused. Good luck, hugs to you all, I'm praying all goes well & that CJ gets better soon. I so feel for you.

That just makes me so mad. I know if it's anything like my school, little to nothing will happen. I know in the past two days I have seen one brutal fight (in which one of my kids with special needs had a tray knocked out of his hands) and today had to physically pull apart two children (got an elbow to the boob on that one). Some kiddos are so violent :( .

yeah, its nearly 10:30 p.m. here, and I've got him in the shower now, and its taken us all night to talk to him ~ he does not want to go back to school. But we explained that if he stays home, the bully wins again. He needs to show that little creep he cannot be torn down, and hold his little bruised head up high tomorrow. His eye is still darkening (those of you on my FB list, I posted pics) ~ he's got a pretty good shiner going. His right ear is still pretty red and swollen, too, we're keeping an eye on it.

Doesn't seem to be concussion, but we're still watching for signs for 48 hours ~ he has had a couple spells of being uncoordinated.

He still cannot figure out who the kid is, but is trying to remember as many details as he can ~ IOW anything to help identify this little creep

Dawn that's sad. I hope and pray you find out who did this. The child who did this should pay for his crimes. This is a crime as CJ could have been really seriously hurt, even worse than he was. If this child doesn't have to deal with what he did, it could be worse the next time and to someone else.

OMG ~ CJ just came down with a trembly voice and said "mom, I'm afraid to go to sleep" ~ I figured it was him afraid of dreaming about the fight... no, he said "you remember that story where the kid colored all over his mom's new sheets with lipstick? And she beat him up? And he never woke up? Well, I'm afraid I'm going to die if I go to sleep"

That's it, Elvis has LEFT THE BUILDING

I am totally beside myself, still, over what happened to CJ. What a *bleep bleep bleep* that kid is for doing what he did to CJ.

Question: Does the school have surveillance cameras on the outside of the building? Could there be a recording of what happened??

Dawn I read on your FB that they caught that, well, (I was taught not to use words like I'm thinking) kid. I'm glad they did. He must learn that when things go wrong he can't take it out on someone else. I'm just hoping he didn't learn that behavior from his parents.

whew, other kids dropped the dime on this little creep that jumped CJ ~ we filed full assault charges, so he was arrested, taken away in handcuffs. HE IS ONLY 11 YEARS OLD. He is also one of the kids that is "open enrolled" into our school, so I am going to fight to get him removed and make him return to his home school district (he's part of the public school district, just lives in a rough neighborhood).

So. Pressed charges for assault. Check. Had him arrested. Check. Will be filing for a protection (restraining) order to keep him a certain distance from CJ. Check. Will be asking judge to grant restitution for new glasses. Check. Fight to have him removed from our school. Check.

Am I missing anything? CJ went to school the next day (we went with him) and he sought out the school's officer, and told him all about the fight, took him thru the whole mess, and then filled out a police incident report. Then we pressed formal charges. He held his head up high and went thru his day Thursday (I told him he'd get a lot of questions from other kids, and it may not be an easy thing to do, but you gotta do it! Be tough, don't back down!). I am so proud of him.

His physical injuries are healing. No concussion, thank goodness, but he's still got bruises and one ear is still pretty swollen. No brain swelling. He was kicked hard over 9 times from what we can reconstruct, all in the face / head. Knees and fists were used as well, so he was struck over 20 times, he said he closed his eyes and lost count after about 60 seconds, he just wanted the pain to stop, and telling this kid "I surrender already!" did nothing to stop the attack.

I am planning on being at every single hearing, meeting, etc. that the court will allow me to attend. Juvie is about a joke in my town, they usually book the kids in, but are already on the phone calling mommy before the paperwork is even done. I am also submitting pictures to the Board of Ed to get him referred for permanent removal from my son's school. They need to know how vicious the attack was, especially because it was unprovoked.

Oh, dragons are all doing good, just sleepy! :D

Thanks for the update here, Dawn. 11 years old! That's young to have that vicious an attitude. If he does end up in "juvie" at that age, he'll be a criminal for the rest of his life, probably. Last year Bill came across a 16 year old male who we found out later had just got out of juvie, he'd been there for 10 years. He was arrested for stealing from his mother and step-father's neighbors. I'm guessing he's back in jail, and not juvie this time. He used smooth lines to win Bill's trust, then asked to borrow our older A.T.V. just to ride down to his parents place, only a few blocks away. We've had that A.T.V. for years and have ridden it on all sorts of rough terrain and never had an accident. This seemly innocent, smooth talking kid flipped it over and ruined this formerly dependable vehicle in only five minutes! This type of A.T.V. is incredibly stable and nearly impossible to turn over! Within months, after numerous repairs it became obvious we had to replace it. We use A.T.V.s because we need them to get around the property. Now we are stuck with a difficult to pay monthly loan bill.

Wow, Dawn, I'm proud of CJ too, to go through all that with his head held up. I hope the kid does get expelled from that school. A bully like that doesn't deserve to be in CJ's school to begin with. You sure have a big reason to be proud of your son, I'm glad he wasn't more seriously hurt. What a pain for CJ to have to go through, hopefully that kid will now stay away from him, as the restraining order states.

Glad the dragons are well & how are you managing, being sick & all. Hope you're better soon.
Hugs to everyone

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
