My beardie Ouroboros has been bloated a bit for the past 3 days or so. Every time she pooped, it seems to go away a bit but then came back. I took her to the vet for a check up, fecal test and a problem I noticed with her arm, and I mentioned the bloating to the vet (who is 1 of 2 reptile specialists in that office) and she didn't seem very concerned and just recommended warm baths. I have not gotten the results of the fecal yet, but her poop since then has been looking normal. Her staple were dubia but because she ran out and more are currently on the way she has been eating supers. Every once in a while she'll let me feed her collard greens, shredded carrot and squash. She only eats a little bit of greens, she is about 5 -6 months old. Her normal enclosure has 2 basking areas, one is at 105-110 and the other is at 100, and her cool area is around 80 or so. Along with the basking lights she has a 10 UVB. Because her arm has been giving her trouble (shes been limping on it) I had to move her to a smaller tank to minimize her movement. This tank she has one basking area at 110 and the UVB covering the entire area, and where the tank is gets some nice sunshine in the mornings.

Is it possible she is bloated from the stress of being in a smaller tank? I am not sure if impaction would be an issue, the vet didn't even mention anything of the sort and I don't feel any hard lumps on her underside. Her substrate in her small tank is newspaper and bandanas covering hard corners of her basking platform, and her regular enclosure is newspaper and repticarpet. I also noticed in her bath tonight she seemed to get more bloated, like a balloon almost and after her bath she deflated back to where she was (but not quite normal) I know it's not her being fat because I have seen her fat before and this is different and worry some :(

Is it possible that she's getting ready to shed? That often causes them to puff out to help loosen the skin. It's also common for them to puff out during baths and when they're basking. If the fecal turns out OK and she's eating normally, that's a good sign. The diet you described sounds pretty typical and shouldn't be problematic. I'd limit the amount of carrots but if she is mainly on bugs which she should be, that shouldn't matter much. Perhaps try offering some probiotic. Some bene-bac gel may help her if she's having digestion issues. It won't hurt to offer it for a couple of weeks at least.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
