bleeding after mating?

2 of my adult beardies (2 years approx) mated earlier for the first time and there was a bit of blood which i think came from the male. he went a bit funny for about 5 minutes afterwards and he wouldnt move his back legs for a bit. theres nothing sticking out and he seems fine now but i was a bit concerned and was wondering if this is normals for first timers.

you sure it wasn't from the female from where the male bit her?

no, it was definatly from the vent and he didnt bite her hard, he was really gentle.
