Black Tail

Hemingway's tail has always been a darker color than the rest of his body since I got him at around 6 wks and with every shed has stayed the same color. Is this normal? I thought it would lighten with the rest of his body but it never did. Im sure its not a problem since I don't suspect tail rot because theres not open sores or anything and he's always shed perfectly. I don't know if its worth mentioning but when I got him I was told he lost about 1/4 in off his tail when he had just hatched. Maybe that could be a factor in why his tails so dark? Will it ever get lighter or is that just a part of his cuteness?

this is a pic from a few weeks ago, he no longer has that substrate but there's the tail

Yeah, he looks perfectly fine , healthy and handsome.
