Hi,
Had him a year he's been absolutely fine. A few days ago randomly he started bobbing and having a black beard pretty much constantly so have tried several variables - he's well fed, with tinned crickets and lettuce/broccoli etc but he hasn't eaten his greens for weeks and I can't force him. Yesterday he had a bath, pooed and calmed down for maybe, 2 or 3 hours after? Then he was at it again. I've opened the glass so he can leave the tank and roam if he wants. There's no other animals, and no reflections. Everything is as normal minus his behaviour and it's annoying me because he bops at the glass, I open the glass, he doesn't want to come out. Considering he gets treated like royalty, I have no idea what's wrong with him.
Here's an example from this morning. Bopping his head on the glass with a black beard, hard enough like he's doing a mating call. So I open the glass. He's then frozen still for 10 minutes. So I close the glass. He then waits for me to sit down, runs around the tank and comes back to the glass even more aggressive bopping. So I opened the glass again. He then bops a few times, retreats to his log in the middle and sits on that and bops from there!
