Bitten by the beardie bug and now....welll.....

Jace was a total spazz. He almos escaped when the Petco employee took him out of the cage for us. He was wild. Not aggressive, just wild.

Both Jace and Zy had been two months old when I picked them out though Zy is I think a month younger. Anyways, because she was a leatherback the employees handled her more and what not so she was always sweet and docile.

Sorin is just a beast. Not aggressive, but massive. And he thinks he can fly...

I have everything set! Basking temp is 105, cool side is 81. Finally got my temp gun and I have been monitoring the temps and playing with the height of the basking level to get the perfect temp. Finally I got it! I contacted the breeder and I will be brining her home tomorrow!! I'm excite but very nervous. I will keep you all posted and as I am a photographer, I will have lots and lots of pics when she is finally in her new home. I'm hoping she adjusts quickly to her new home!

Got our baby!! She's been home now for 3 days. Everything I've read about she is doing perfectly. First hour lots of stress marks....but that was it! She settled right in eating greens and LOTS of crickets!!! Second day pooed in her bath....PERFECT!!! She LOVES being cuddled in a small piece of fleece. What a sweetheart! We are thrilled!!!! We are still undecided on her name. We have narrowed it down to Izzy, Lucy or LuLu.

Thank you. We are thrilled to have her. She isn't interested in eating today tho... She has been eating like a horse and for her to show no interest today worries me a bit. I gave her a nice warm 15 min bath hoping that would help. She pooed but isn't interested in her crickets or greens today.

That sounds like me!! Never EVER did I think I would own a reptile! I'm in aw of how "puppy" like they are. She loves to be pet on her head. She closes her eyes and snuggles right in. Really an amazing creature.

I just measured her. She is 11 inches from tip of nose to tip of tail. Her tail is soooooo long but perfect. No nips.

My dog is so jealous and wants to play with her. I'm slowly introducing them. Hopefully it will be the start of a great friendship for them!

Beautiful baby you have and I love her colors. Sunny would be a perfect name for her like her colors. Almost like sunshine her colors are. Keep going slow with introductions of your lizard and other pets. They will get accustomed to each other but keep them under close supervision. My 2 are so proud when they climb and conquer Mt Doggie, but even as docile as my dogs are to Emmett and Emily climbing on them, I keep a very close eye on them as anything can happen in a split second. Congrats on your new baby, she really is beautiful.

Thank you for that. She did eat a bit of greens. Not much...but it was something.

Definately!! My 6 month old female beardie always snuggles in when I have her out, they are such personable animals. she loves to ride around on my shoulder, while my young male prefers this:

Just goes to show how each of them can be so so different in personality.

Well it's been a week and I have loved everyday with our new pet! She is such a lover and sweet!! I believe she is starting to go into shed as her head and legs are grayish in color. We are just loving her!
