Birthday Cake?

Hey guys, so Diesel's 1st birthday is coming up and I wanted to have a little birthday party for her, and I wanted to include a cake. Anything that I could use to make a cake that is safe for a beardie? I read somewhere that vanilla is okay, since its a once a year thing, but I wasn't sure if that's true or not? Dairy and egg free vanilla maybe? Or is dairy and eggs okay, since it's a once a year thing.? Or could I make a veggie cake? She is very picky and likes sweets (carrots, cucumbers, strawberries, she once ate a peice of chocolate when it was too late to grab it from her :shock: :lol: ). So, I'm not sure if she'll even eat a veggie cake. Vanilla for sure, but veggies, I don't know. And also, any gift ideas for her? I really want to make her birthday's special. And here's a little update of how Diesel looks if ya'll wanted to know.

Hello,

Cute idea, but what do you plan on putting in the cake? LOL Small amounts of a cake would
be ok, but dairy usually doesn't sit too well with them. A little bit of egg is ok & a little bit of
vanilla is fine, too. Are you just going to mix up a little bit of batter made with flour? You
could use wheat grass, coconut flour or alfalfa meal as a base.
Diesel deserves a birthday cake though for her first birthday!

You could probably go a safer route and get some of repashy's diets and mix those up into little cake molds and then put fruits, veggies and recently killed bugs on it for toppings.

It's giving me an idea for what I should do with my own reptiles.

I think she'd enjoy a dish of up to 8 medium sizes silkworms more than any cake you can put together.

True... that or hornworms. My beardies always go crazy for hornworms. Venus may be a bit too crazy about them, the last time I offered some she acted like she hadn't seen or had food in years.
