I was figuring that you would be having an emotional time right now...I knew that Scott was leaving soon just was sure exactly when till you disappeared. I would be doing the same if I were in your shoes...I can only imagine what you must be feeling an it saddens me that you are going thru this.

Little tip....when your heart is hurting bad instead of dwelling on the pain think of it like this;
Happy thoughts because you can still feel so deeply which means that this sometime unfair world hasn't hardened your heart. :wink:

I know I can't say anything that will help you to feel better, but do want you to know that I am thinking of you an I'm here if you need me.

Oh I almost forgot sorry that Titan is being stubborn right now this too will pass...not sure what you offer in your salads but if you try some mustard greens, butternut squash, or yellow squash he might go for it. :dontknow:

I try not to let it beat me. Sometimes I get so wound up that you would swear that he left me or died. I mean, he is still around and things could be worse, but it is rough having to go about my days when it feels like you're forgetting something.

When I dropped him off at the airport, it was the WORST. We stood there for like an hour just hugging and crying. I just wanted to scoop him up and toss him in the trunk and drive away.

I do talk to him on skype. It's rough because there is a 13 hour time difference and when I get up for work, he is getting off of work and when I am getting off work, he is going to work.

As for Titan, I really think that it is his bowl. I really want him to eat out of it because if I put it on a paper plate or a paper towel he lets his greens dry out because he is always sluggish when I turn the lights on and sneak the salad in.

I put all kinds of nummies in it for him. I caught him eat a few but they were on the top. His bowl does have a reflection, but I wonder if he doesn't want to see himself eat. Oh well, he'll get used to it.

Phoenix is eating like a freaking pig as usual. NOTHING can keep her from eating now. She is a future Miss Piggy. More power to her, I suppose. She's my baby and as long as she is healthy, I'm okay with it.

Titan is 8 months old, 20 inches and 419 grams.

Barb... despite his eating issues, he is packing on the grams.

They do begin to slow down on eating as they mature...remember I had told you that he had already slowed down of live feeders by the time he left here. As long as he's not loosing weight then I say this is all normal considering his size and age. You could very well be right about him not wanting to see himself eat that would not surprise me. Blaze will not eat his salad if we watch and if we were to accidently catch him he will stop.
My advice to you and everyone is to always keep up on the replacement of your UVB. And don't forget to stay updated on any issues the companies may be having with their bulbs. Also keep updated on Bligg since he's brother to and Dawn is experiencing some eating issues with him as well. :?

I feel for you that must have been one of the hardest things either of you have done, newlyweds at that.

Cry it out if you have too it's okay....we all are here for you. :wink:

He isn't suffering from any bulb issues. He's on a reptisun 10.0 just like Phoenix and she get's hers replaced next month, but I may do it early.

He is fat and will steal a super if he's ready. For the most part, he just wants to cuddle which I am 100% okay with.

I know he's not suffering from UVB issues as I know you have him under a new reptisun...I just wanted to post that mainly for others to read as it's often overlooked as being the culpret to issues beardies maybe having. :wink: Which I know this is not the case with Titan. I'm glad he's giving you cuddles especially now when you need them the most.

He loves cuddles. If I lay on the floor while he's out, he come right to me and snuggles himself in next to me. It makes me feel good. Titan is a good boy. I brought him to the store and he was a good boy. People were amazed how big he was, especially for his age.

They had a snow dragon in there for sale. Very pretty. I just don't want someone else to worry about. lol

Hi Michelle! Sorry to hear Titan is not eating much. I totally understand how that is, with Bligg not eating anything but babyfood for a while now.

I want to apologize for poking at you with my singing. Barb had told me your husband was leaving and I wasn't thinking. I guess I'm so used to it with my sister, who's hubby(Marine)is out on a ship in the Mediteranean and seems to be overseas more than home. They are not newlyweds either, so maybe it isn't as hard for her to let him go :roll: Nonetheless... I know it must be hard for you . I am a military brat, so I understand the having to say good-bye to someone you love all the time. My father was in the Navy and spent a great deal of his time on a ship.
How long will Scott be in Korea? I hope the time flies by quick for you. Easier said then done, but try and keep yourself busy with work, hobbies, beardies and such. You know we are all here for you if you get lonely or need someone to talk to.

Scott will be in Korea for a year. I am the third generation of Air Force in my family and saying bye has never been hard before. I just feel like the military is robbing my happiness again, but that's a whole 'nother can-o-worms.

My animals keep me very busy. I think that's why Scott wanted me to have them.

4:30ish-I wake up in the morning to a puppy with a full bladder pouncing on my tummy to wake me up since he knows barking in the morning is a no-go for me. I take him out to potty and come back inside.

4:45-I change into work clothes and brush my teeth and fix my hair.

5:00-Then I feed everyone. Fresh salads for the beardies (pre fixed and ready). Sometimes I have waxies hidden in Titans. Anything to make him eat something. Food for the kitty and her vitamins. Then my blend of puppy food and his vitamins.

5:30-Go to work. WORK WORK WORK

1:30-2:30-Come home. Take the puppy outside. Feed the beardies lunch. Supers, silks and phoenix worms (dusted). Of course, Phoenix gobbles them down. She has beardie boobs to prove it. Titan MIGHT have one or two every once in a while. Change kitty and puppy's water.

3:00- Change out of uniform. Give Phoenix a bath. Feed Titan some babyfood. (veggies and chicken with a grape and banana fruit blend for desert). Dry Phoenix off and let her run around. Give Titan a bath. Take both beardies outside along with the puppy.

4:30- Phoenix is in her viv. Titan is roaming around AKA following me. Start human dinner.

5:00-Titan in viv. Fix puppy dinner. Tidy up house.

5:30- Eat dinner. Take puppy outside. Do dishes.

6:00- Fix beardie's dinner. Strawberries, raspberries, mustard greens and squash (small salad) which includes a worm or two.

6:30- Clean kitchen. Take trash out (if necessary). Vaccuum den, livingroom, hall, bedroom. Scoop litter box.

7:45- Take puppy outside.

8:00- Tuck in beardies. Check email (if any) from Scott.

8:15- TRY to watch tv. Figure out what happened to the day. Start to retrace my steps to discover where I lost my mind.

9:00-9:30- Take puppy outside. Write hubby an email. Set alarm. Go to bed.

I have no time for error.

Wow, I don't think I could set my life like that. I was a military brat as well. I was born in Germany, but shortly after that my father got out. My days more like...

That's pretty much the only thing that is consistent about my day....

Sorry to hear your man was shipped out. Unless they've been there, no one understands how hard the military life is, when it comes to things like this. I know they say that, that doesn't kill us makes us stronger, but sometimes ya just gotta ask yourself. "How freakin' strong do I need to be?"...=). I'm not gunna sit here and B.S. you about how it's gunna be fine, and time will fly.....Just know that I'm here if ya need me. As are countless others.
