Big big cage, little tiny dragon

Pablo arrived yesterday and. Had a small tank all set up for him -- he's only about 5 inches. Came home today and he was hanging in the middle of this:



Bad kitty! Thankfully everyone was ok.

So now he's in the tank I used for my other beardie until recently. Problem is its very big -- around 4' x 18". Will he be ok there or do I need to get him another small tank until he grows?

He'll be fine. Just keep an eye on him during feeding times to ensure he catches them all.

Remember, in the wild, his enclosure would be the size of Australia.

Glad I found this! I always wondered if a large enclosure would be a problem for a little dragon.

Pretty much what Soulwind said. I had Harley in a 4ft cage when i got her at 6 inches and she was fine. She actually liked it a lot since she could sprint from one end to the other and have fun. Feeding is the only issue since that is a lot of room for bugs to run. If you feed something slow like dubias you should be fine. Just throw em down in front of your beadies and they will grab em.
