Right so i have a beardy and he seemed to have a bit off old skin on his right side off his head ( or so i thought) anyway he grew a bit bigger but still seemed to have it so me and my girlfriend got some off but it still didnt seem right, as in clean as his left side. Also he had some skin in his ear and we got a big bit out but some still seems to be in there but i didnt wanna go near that but anyway he has skin on his right side that doesnt just look like skin and his right side looks like its glazed or something and if i brush his spikes they all move as one lump instead off being flexible and moving individually like the left side does. Ive went to the vet and im now giving him antibiotics but does anyone have any idea what this might be?
Heres some pics. http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f36/daniel_mcloughlin2/20180805_215245_zpskhkxicju.jpg

Hi Daniel, can you post a few pics while his skin is dry ? Being wet always distorts what it really looks like.

From those pics it just looks like a bit of shed that has not come off yet, that's all. How long has he had it ? And BTW, antibiotics would not help even if it WAS a fungal/skin infection so you can stop those meds. right no. A vet who doesn't know what he's looking at but just prescribes antibiotics is not one that I would take my beardie to.

Ok so first 1 is his left side (good side)
Other 3 are side im worried about.
He has had a bit there since we got him ( i didnt notice till a couple off weeks after but my gf did and never said anything to me)
I thought maybe another beardie nipped his mouth and it got infected or something but i got him with another one and the other one is fine very active.
This one seems a bit lazy like he is eating and he will jump across the tank to catch a locust but the other one is a lot more active.
I just took him out to take the pictures and then he went to go somewhere to sleep. Idk if hes goin through brumation or what but he seems to dig and the other one doesnt.
Right now i have them in the same tank because theyre 3-4 months and they seem fine, i know i will have to seperate them soon.
So what is done if its a fungal infection?
Sorry for the huge reply lol

I can see the area better, esp. in the 2nd pic and it does look a bit suspicious. It could be a fungal infection , hopefully not yellow fungus which is highly contagious and can be fatal if it progresses too much. You would do well to separate the dragons ASAP for that reason alone.

So you can buy an antifungal cream, Monistat , to put on it with a Q-tip. Don't bathe the dragon because that can spread it. Only bath him if he's really dirty, like from poo stains. Offer water dripped on his snout every 3-4 days to help keep him hydrated. Hopefully this won't progress much further,in the mean time if you want to be 100% sure, find a good reptile vet since your vet does not know much about reptiles and you can stop the antibiotics since they can make him worse by killing off his good gut flora [ bacteria ] A good vet can do a skin scraping to test for fungus. Best wishes to you !

Hi again right so i have some good news and some now im really paranoid news, The skin was just having a hard time shedding but i seen it splitting so i got most off it off and i got another big lump out off the hole is his head ( is that theyre ears or how they breath or what?) Anyway but i looked under his chin and shined light and seen yellow so now im really paranoid, what do you think it looks like? I hope its not YF but it seems to be in a stripe pattern so i dont think so. Do they show yellow when they are shedding sometimes because i have never noticed and im a bit paranoid now.
TIA

The area under the chin also looks like shed. Just thick waxy skin about to shed but showing some of the natural yellow beard color through it. That will probably break loose soon and show nice new skin and bright yellow color underneath.

The large hole on the side of their head at the back of their mouth is their ears. The small hole near the front of their mouth is their nostrils.

Ol so for now just wait a bit and see whay happens? What would you recommend to do with their viv should i add some substrate in one corner or something? I have a desert mat at the moment so maybe im thinking its not humid enough when it comes to shedding, he doesnt flare his beard like the other one does maybe thats why he is having trouble. Im just a bit worried about his ear not being as clear as his left side idk if you can see in the pics.

They are able to shed without high humidity. The ear just looks like it isn't done shedding yet. You may eventually see a piece come out that is oval with a relatively clear bottom to it and that's the full shed from the ear.
