Beardie won't eat Please Help

I got Flynn a little over a week ago from Carolina classic dragons, he's 3-4 months old 9 1/2 inches and he hasn't eating since i've brought him home. He just got over a shed but he still doesn't seem to have any interest in eating. He is in a 40 gallon tank with a reptisun 10.0 uvb and a zoomed 100w basking bulb. his cool end of the tank is at 84 and the hottest point of his basking spot is at 112. I've closed off 3 sides of the enclosure to help him adapt a little better. I soak him every other day for about 6 min and he sometimes lowers his head to have a drink. I've been offering phoenix worms since i've read they are higher in calcium than crickets,but he just looks at them and continues basking. it's been almost two weeks ! How long can he go without eating?!! The worms are there for the taking, he won't starve himself will he? when i take him out of his tank he is plenty active and alert. It's the not eating that seems to be the only problem. Am i doing something wrong?

He probably has a bit of relocation stress. If he's alert and active I wouldn't worry too much. He isn't likely to starve himself. I'd just give him some space and let him adjust to his new home. Keep making food available and he'll dig in when he's ready. Your setup sounds good. I'd lower the temps a little bit though. I would keep the basking spot more like 105 and the cool side 75-80 or so but you have a good gradient so I don't think that's causing an issue. Does he act stressed out when you give him a bath? If so, I'd stop doing that unless he gets dirty. You can offer him water by dripping a little bit on his nose using a syringe or dropper and he'll lick it up if he needs it.

I have a dragon from CCD. Have you contacted David? If so, what did he say? Your dragon should be eating by now, if I read correctly that you have had him for two weeks. You may need to have him checked for parasites. A 9 inch old dragon can't afford to go on an extended hunger strike.

PS: I think he feeds his dragons crickets. If the worms are still and move very little your dragon may not recognize them as food.

the phoenix worms are super squirmy so he has definitely taken notice of them moving around but he just looks at them. I've tried crickets dusted with calcium but he wouldn't go after them. When I was trying the crickets i made sure they weren't too big but still nothing. I took him to the vet and he said he was a good color and weight but he didn't test for parasites.

Hello, I just got two four month old beardie girls on Friday and one off them didn't eat either. Navi arrived and was hungry straight away and she was very active and had a good look around in the enclosure and Zelda showed no interest in food and moving around, I placed a few closed glass jars with bugs in them in the tank so they constantly saw moving insects and now Zelda started to eat as well, only if she feels like no one is watching her though. I didn't handle her much at all so far and just left her alone and she seems to come out of her shell now.
Hopefully your beardie is just a bit nervous and starts eating soon too.

thank you so much for your replies. Flynn finally decided to start eating!! I guess it took him a while to get acclimated to his new home, but I really appreciate everyones suggestions!
