Beardie walking funny??? HELP!

Hi everyone! Since September/October Taz has been brumating but around a week ago he has come out of his hide and has now been just lying on his basking rock. When he first came out I immediately gave him a bath and he was walking around a little fine. After this bath I gave him one or two grasshoppers with calcium powder and that's all he's eaten since he started brumating.(the first pictures are from that bath....does he look dehydrated?) Then I gave him a bath today and afterwards he was sitting in my lap and seemed like he wanted to explore, but he started doing this weird slide across the floor like he can't pick himself up!! I'm really worried he's starting to get mbd Does anyone have any advice? I plan on ordering him a new reptisun 10.0 (that's what he has currently but I think it's getting old, Also is it true what they say about the bulb being ineffective through the screen on the top of the cage?) and maybe some new calcium and vitamin powder (I currently have bearded dragon calcium plus from Repashy Superfoods.... Any suggestions? Also does calcium powder expire?) During his brumation he would come out once in a while and i'd give him a bath but I don't think it was enough because I also think he might be a little dehydrated.

He doesn't look like he has MBD to me. His walk is a little strange, but he isn't walking with his hands folded under. It looks more like he may just need to build his strength back up after brumation and not using his muscles for a while. I'm not really sure if that's typical or not, but I would keep offering food (your calcium supplement is a good one - I use the same) and see if he gains his strength back after eating a few meals and walking around a bit. As for the expiration, there should be a label (it's on the bottom of mine) with the expiration date.

Hi Nicole....he looks pretty good, I also think that he is still a bit tired from brumation and also since he just had a bath he may have been cold afterwards and not moving too well. It's always best to put them back in the tank with the heat straight after a bath because they can't generate heat and a bath leaves them chilled. Keep him in his tank most of the time and he should start acting normally within a few days or a week or so with normal temps.

It depends on the light and the fixture, some are just fine out side of screen, others aren't strong enough. The T5 are strong enough to use with a screen.

Calcium doesn't go bad, however the D3 and other vitamins can decay over time.

Hmmm...My light is a T8 and 24"..also I think i'm just going to order him some new supplements because the one I have now I got in 2012 and it expires 2017 but I feel like something new might help...any suggestions for new supplements....i've heard herptivite is good maybe?
