My husband and I have decided to wait till we are settled into base housing before we get a beadier, we are hoping to be moving at the end of the year but who knows. I started looking for more information after a show when we passed buying two up to learn more. After a little time here I have come up with a little timeline that I would like you guys to take a look at.

We have a 125 gal, 6 foot floor that we plan to split between two females.
Between moving and when we get the little ones we will be setting up the tank and buying everything. Plan to make a platform for both of them.
Looking between 4 and 8 months.
Planning to buy a starter up colony of roaches 4 months before we plan to get them. 3 months is what it seems like to get a good colony going the extra month is a safe guard.
Place a repti worm order the day we go get them, or the day we order them, figure it will come a few days after we have them home and we can start adding them to the diet as soon as they come.
Also going to order other worms about 2 months into have them but for the first two months I want to stick to the roaches and reptiworms. This is along with veggies, figure this will give them more then enough time to settle in and for us to see how they are doing. Can't see any reason why we would need to be feeding a bunch of worms if the roaches and reptiworms will do fine at raising them up.
Question, can I feed both the roaches and the worms in the same feeding bowl or will the roaches munch on the worms?

Can anyone see what is wrong with our timeline? Changes you think we should make based on your life with your beardies?

For ordering worms we plan to order from, lindasgonebuggie, mulberry farms, greatlake hornworms, Elliott butters, and reptiworms.
has anyone had any problems with any of theses places? We are not sure where we want to order the roaches from yet, still going through sites. Any that we should stay away from?

I think that's about it. Questions? Thoughts?

Thank you!

Timeline looks great
Not to sure if you want have Roaches and Worms in the same bowl just make sure its a deep enough one so the Roaches and Worms can crawl out of I know that some use a small stainless steel one like a little dog dish.

You will also need Basking lights Flood lights from the local hardware store work great they heat to 105-110 for a baby so you need 2 of those.
You will also need 2 UVB lights reptisun 10.0 tubes they should be almost the length of viv . Please dont get the coiled ones they arent that great got beardies.

Hope that helps anymore questions please ask or PM me

I agree that your timeline is really thorough and I commend you guys for being able to hold off on getting your beardie, I got "ants in my pants" and couldn't stand waiting anymore :) for buying roaches I have to say that buying from sellers on here is the absolute cheapest way to go. When I've looked at dealers it seems the prices are double or triple the amount. also check ebay, there are sellers on there that sell all sorts of feeders.
I've dealt with reptiworms.com and loved their service, I've also dealt with mullberry farms and their shipping was super speedy but about half of my silkworms were stuck together and dead (but it was the baby cup, and it was pretty hot, and the mailman didn't care that the box said handle with care so I'm not sure if all those things had something to do with it), and I've ordered from linda's gone buggie. I haven't recieved my order yet but she has been great so far with communication :) hope that helps and sorry you post got missed :(

Sounds like a great timeline, taking time to make sure everything is there. :)
Hopefully your beardies will love the Reptiworms as much as our Yoshi does.
My husband and I have ordered from lindasgonebuggie and it's a great site to order from.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
