Sometimes they even use their chin/beard to tamp the sand/soil so as to leave no trace of where they lay them. That would give the eggs a better chance of being undetected in the wild .
It's awesome. I saw her cover them up too, have it on video too. She was bumping her head like a maniac to get the eggs into the sand walls. In the end I helped her out, because after 3 hours of covering up she wasn't even halfway there and it was already 10 p.m.
One worry for tonight: so I can just let her go to sleep with this and hope she will wake up tomorrow?
