O.K, I was just checking to see that it happened in a warm place. And yes it is a thrill to see, did you see her cover them up , too ? Sometimes they even use their chin/beard to tamp the sand/soil so as to leave no trace of where they lay them. That would give the eggs a better chance of being undetected in the wild .

It's awesome. I saw her cover them up too, have it on video too. She was bumping her head like a maniac to get the eggs into the sand walls. In the end I helped her out, because after 3 hours of covering up she wasn't even halfway there and it was already 10 p.m.

One worry for tonight: so I can just let her go to sleep with this and hope she will wake up tomorrow?

It's good to help them out sometimes , they can get exhausted. :) And yes, she should be fine until tomorrow.

So, I made an appointment at the vet this afternoon to get her checked out.

I have 1 more worry. Since she has the RI everyone adviced me to not give her a bath anymore for now, but I'm worried about impaction. She has pooped Wednesday for the last time and has eaten every day since (6 to 8 mealworms, 3 grasshoppers medium size and alot of greens).

What do you advice? Don't give her a bath till this is over or can I just give her a bath to prevent the option of an impaction?

Hello,

Thanks everyone for helping out on this one!
So, do you think she has more eggs or has she probably laid them all now? They will often
breathe heavy if they have eggs because it will press on their lungs, etc.
I agree, it is possible she just isn't getting quite enough UVB & her system isn't 100%. I am
very happy though that she didn't seem to have any trouble laying her eggs. It is really neat
to watch, absolutely, very tiring for them.
Mounting the coil/compact light horizontally doesn't really make any difference in the output but
it is probably a bit easier on their eyes. Which UVB tube are you upgrading her to?
I wouldn't bathe her right now, until you can get a little check up on her, first.
I hope the vet appointment goes well.

I have no clue to be honest, I think it was all.

The impaction issue is off te tracks for now. She pooped an hour ago, but it was somewhat watery. So I will take it to the vet with me to get that checked out too.

I have to figure the whole UVB thing out. I have fixed fixtures build in in my terrarium which won't fit the recommended lights, so I am breaking my head on this one.

Hiccup he is 6 and Blaze is 4
I would get decor pieces you can move and not bother w/ the fixed or permanent fixtures if you can

Hey guys,

So I brought my beardie to the vet and he couldn't say directly that she had a respiratory infection. Her symptoms did go less frequent monday and today tho. So could it have been like a cold and she only needed a few days to recover from that with the higher temperatures I set up saturday?

Yesterday she started having diarrhea tho. Could that be because I didn't give her insect for a few days because I was afraid of impaction? What are the fastest cures for diarrhea? Because there are a million different things on the internet.

The vet did gave me Flagyl antibiotics, because she had bit too much of a specific parasite. The kind of parasite was normal to have for a beardie in lesser degree tho. I don't remember what it was called. Anyway, does the diarrhea affect the working of the antibiotics?

I hope she will get better soon. Thanks for any help in advance guys.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
