Hey folks, anyone see Shooting Stars tonight? The end game had that ex-sugar babe Mutyah (sp?) having to put her hand through a hole to feel an animal and guess what it was.

They started with a lamb, and then with a bearded dragon! Was really shocked, didn't think they'd use anything like that and felt proud to see one on TV! :D It looked really calm and nice and light coloured, so didn't seem stressed at all.

Anyway, just thought it was great so see and thought i'd share!

Hehehe, I missed that one. It's always nice to see dragons well cared for on TV.

The most bearded dragons I've ever seen used in a movie was the Disney film "Holes". Following is a detailed excerpt from http://www.ahafilm.info/movies/moviereviews.phtml?fid=7506

"Nine Bearded Dragon lizards were on call for the parts of the lizards in the film. A non-toxic children's finger paint was used on the lizards to make them appear bright in color. Computers helped create some of the lizard action and production created fake life-like lizards for some of the other scenes.

One night, Mr. Sir, who works for the Warden, shoots a lizard that is crawling on a wall behind one of the young men. A tarp was placed over the wall and a trainer placed the lizard on the tarp in order for it to be filmed. This was later inserted into the film. The lizard was never present during the gunfire.

Another character, Kate, sits against a turned over wooden boat when a lizard crawls out from under it. She picks it up, puts it on her arm and the lizard bites her, then continues to crawl on her. In a later shot of Kate slumped over dead, the lizard is on her lap. A trainer hid under the wooden boat and cleared away the dirt from a hole in the hull so it was easier for the lizard to crawl out. The trainer released the lizard through the hole and another trainer stood on the other side, just off camera holding a flower that the lizard likes to eat in order to entice the lizard to crawl in that direction.

After explaining the handling of the animal to the actress, a trainer handed her the lizard and she placed the lizard on her arm. The trainer standing just off camera removed the lizard immediately afterwards. The last part of this sequence shows the lizard climbing on the dead actress and onto her lap. The trainer set the lizard on the actress' chest as she lay very still, pretending to be dead. The lizard began to crawl up to the actress' face and the trainer stepped right in and removed the lizard.

Toward the end of the film when Caveman and Zero are digging and find the buried treasure, several lizards are in the hole with them. The tenacious reptiles crawl all over them and the dirt. A combination of real and fake lizards where used for this scene. The young actors spent some time with the trainers learning all about the lizards and how to handle them. Then these two brave actors let the lizards crawl on them as they pretended not to care. The lizards were all contained in the hole and it was surrounded by trainers who stood off camera with nets just in case any strayed."

What can I say - I'm always delighted to see dragons!

Wow, that pic from the movie (on the link) is cool! Glad they didn't start scrapping! I'm off to work now so didn't get chance to read all of the above, but will later - cheers :)

It's not the worlds best movie, but it's certainly watchable. Especially if you want to have a laugh at the brightly fingerpainted "dangerously poisonous killer" beardies. Watch out for the rubber dragons in the pit too :)

I'm impressed that they're either so bewildered by the whole thing, or so tame, that we didn't have any headbobbiting going on. I know Tsam'd never be that patient, and Kyle would want to happily wave at everyone...

I meant to ask Jon - what did she do when she found the dragon? Did she get it right?

Dangerous Beardies lol.... bless the movy makers haha..

She got 'reptile,' which surprised me, didn't think she'd even get that, but that was as much detail as she gave lol so they gave her the point! :)

It sounds like the movie would be a laugh, literally, might have to get it to watch with my bro and (now) fiance some time :D

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
