Beardie intelligence

Ok.. So I know some of you are gonn think I'm crazy, but I'm gonna say this anyways.. I think my beardie has learned a word.. I am always talking to him.. "Hey buddy" Do you want to eat" stuff like that so that he gets used to my voice... He usually just looks up at me interested and listening.. Today when I have him his second helping of crickets , I walked past and said, " you wanna eat?".. As soon as the words left my mouth, he shot like. Rocket to the corner of them enclosure that I drop his crickets into him.. He NEVER does that.. He will do it when he hears me pick up the cricket box, or the Baggie that I use to dust them with, but never before either of those things happen.. Does anyone else's beardie know any words? Sounds crazy, but I really think he knows what "eat" means... Lol.. I would love to hear similar stories ..

Hi. The other day our male was sitting by the screen door, my husband was out side and said something. Boy did he perk up looking around. Then my husband said something through the open window 10 feet a way and he came running looking at the widow like " where are you ?" Then he ran back to the screen door and scratched at it like he knew my husband was outside. It was so cute and funny. Wish I could've recorded it on my phone.

This is my first beardie so it's been interesting. I just saw a YouTube video of a Chiuahua and a beardie playing.. So funny

I know mine understands me. When I say his name he'll come to me and tilt his head and look at me. He understands when I say "bath time" (he hates bath time); he knows "Bed time" he gets ready to be tucked in with his blanket and lights off; he knows "No" "stop" "down" He's super smart. I talk a lot to him and if I rearrange my house or make a lot of noise I tell him and he doesn't freak out. If I tell him I moved the house around and ask if he wants adventure time he gets excited and jumps on his step and gets ready to get out. He loves Toothless from how to train your dragon, he hears toothless roar and he will run to my laptop and sit on my keyboard and watch the movie. Its adorable. He has weird tastes in music too. If I play an artist he doesn't like (like adele) he will puff up once and then put his butt towards me and then go sulk in his hutch, if I put someone he likes on like Evanescence or BFMV he'll come out under the lamps and look at me and wiggle to the beat of the music. I love my baby and I love hearing stories about other ones too. Beardies are super smart.

He will pose for the camera but as soon as he figures out its recording for a video he stops everything and gets this smug look like HA mom know one will ever believe you mwhahahaha. I think my ex might have a video of him responding to him. I'll have to check.

haha maybe! I treat Ciele like he's human so he tends to live up to expectations. The more I talk to him the more he responds. It's worth a try with Buddy! I think it would be hilarious to see a dragon what Let's make a deal and see him playing along xD
