Beardie injection (Baytril) help!

Hey so I tried to gove my beardie his injection for an URI and he ended up flipping out and bleeding a bit (bright red) bleeding has ceased externally, no obvious differences or pain to injection site, so i dont think he has internal, only half the injection got in and i don't know what to do. Can i ask the vet for an oral dose instead in the morning? I don't want to pay another $50 vet bill honestly, will he be okay with only half an injection?? .2 cc's for 7 days, 2 succesfull doses. I don't feel comfortable trying again

Edit: I've read baytril can be given orally, he also has a mouth infection he's been being treated for as well, is there a difference in between the oral and the injectable baytril or could I just take the needle off and give it to him that way?

Poor little guy. Here is some info from Reptiles magazine written by famous herp vet Dr. Margaret Wissman describing why Baytril should only be injected once, then given orally. The article suggests that it should only be given orally.

That's great thanks. I'll have to ask the vet in the morning about the oral dose instead!

You're welcome. From what I've read, URI's are nearly always treated with oral, not injectable antibiotix.

Same here, now i'm just worried about him only getting half his dose, the vet bill, and if he's bleeding internally
