Beardie in S. FL needs HELP...

Well I emailed her and this is the response I got...

"i rescued him a few days ago. looks like a vitamin deficiency and is on uv lamps and heating lamps. i try to feed him letteuce and some crickets but it wont eat"

I sent her a long email about care and what to do for him right now so I'll see what kind of response I get back. I'm not in a position to take on another beardie right now but I told her I would take him from her if she felt like the instructions I gave her were too much for her to handle.

SOOOO if I get him and nurse him back to health is there someone out there who could give him a good home?? PLEASE!!!

I am Male heavy right now myself, but my Aunt does rescues as well and she lives close to me. If you end up with him and have to rehome him I will do what I can to help you. On most rescues I am not very fond of shipping them so I personally would be interested in using the Rescue train if possible to get from south FL to north central FL (I live about 15 miles or so from UF)

I really wouldn't want to ship him/her either. If I end up with him I'll let you know because I can't keep another one rightnow long term. I emailed the girl yesterday asking about him/her but I've gotten no response. Thanks so much for your help!! I'm sure we could find a way to get the beardie up that way.

Ok well it looks like I can come get him/her Thursday or Friday. Before I do I want to make sure you have a place for the beardie because I only do for the short term. THanks!!!

Yes we have a 4' long tank that is not in use and a brand new MVB as well. Plenty of food/feeders and vitamins on hand as well as all tank accessories that he will need. I also have padded shelf liner if he needs a soft floor. Just to find out if I need to update any husbandry is he missing and limbs or have issues with climbing? If so I can get a 4' that is 12" H instead of the 2" H.

Unfortunately she never got back to me, I emailed her many times over the weekend, but she is ignoring my emails. I just hope that the beardie is in a good home. If I ever here back from her I will let you know.
