I was looking online at pet classifieds, and found a posting for a 4 year old beardie who is only 1 ft long! The poster said he's in college and can't take care of him anymore, but that was basically it, and that he likes to be held after he eats!
I was wondering if anyone lives in PA that could take him? I called the kid today and he said he still has him, and is going to call me back later--I was considering taking him temporarily just to get him out of a potentially bad situation (the posting doesn't say there's anything wrong with him, but I feel as though a foot long beardie is a bit strange, and the picture makes him look anarexic!) I'm a bit worried about bringing him home because I just got my first baby beardie, but I don't want this other guy in a situation where he isn't getting the care he needs. If I do end up taking him temporarily (and I say temporary because I'm not sure if he has any serious medical issues that will cost a lot of money that I don't have at the moment) what precautions should I be taking to make sure if he has anything it doesn't get to my baby Herman? Are any beardie diseases transmittable by air? Or would he be okay in the same room as long as I'm very good about cleaning/hand washing etc?
Any suggestions would be welcome! Please help!! If I do end up taking him, you can contact me if you are interested in taking him, I just don't know yet if I can afford to keep him if I get him.
I have the guy's phone number if anyone is interested, PM me and I'll give it to you (don't know how he feels about it being posted all over the internet).
"This is my beautiful Bearded Dragon named Speedy that I can no longer
take care of anymore because I am away at college. He has a little orange
color around his head and ears. He loves to be held after his meals. He is about
1' I had him for the past 4 years. He is in need of a loving home so please help
him out. Will ship."
