Do you know when you are going to get a tube bulb? That would greatly expedite his recovery for him. You can order the online, too.
I would recommend the Arcadia D3 12%, either the T8 or the T5 high output bulb. The T5 takes a different type of tube bulb fixture but they emit better UVB quality too.
