Beardie coughing/choking/dryheaving

So my bearded dragon Merlin (almost 2 years old) has started to do this very weird thing like half an hour ago where it looks like he is going to puke or choking or something
His whole body heaves/lurches forward and this breathy wheezy sound comes out of his mouth
It happens every 30 seconds to a minute
His beard just started to turn black
It seems to really annoy him and makes him very uncomfortable

UPDATE: I also just noticed these little symmetrical spots/bumps lining from one of his inside back thighs across down his other inside thigh
These are definitely new

*I must also note that I am pretty sure "he" is actually a "she" but I've continued to call him such anyways*

Hi Vanessa....it sounds like a possible respiratory infection. If you could post a video it would be very helpful. Otherwise if it continues you will need an experienced reptile vet to have a look. I think the bumps you see on his legs are femoral pores. Google it to see....if they are large, he's most likely a male.
