Beardie Barely Eating

Hi I have posted a couple of times about my daughters new bearded dragon named Hanzo. We have currently got the lighting and housing temps correct. My new question is about the eating. He is a small bearded only 5 months old. My daughter feeds him 10 crickets a day. This is what the pet store suggested. He gets those 2 hours after his light comes on. And in the afternoon he gets greens and some veggies mixed with worms. The pet store said would help him get used to the greens. But he isn’t even eating all his crickets. Is it one to leave leftovers in the tank? One person at pet store said yes and another said no. And noy much of his greens. Should we be worried. We got him last Saturday. Any advice would be appreciated. We love all our animals and want to make sure they are properly cared for :

I have a Beardie of a similar age. You have just got him and from my experience it took my beardie a few weeks for him to become the eater that he was in the pet store. Just keep offering him food, also try to (if you can) make him eat more crickets then worms as they are easier to digest in most cases.

It's good to offer a salad as well but he will probably prefer bugs. As mentioned, it may take him some time to settle in. I wouldn't focus on the exact number of bugs you are feeding but rather offer him 2 meals per day all he wants in about a 10 minute window. Offer bugs in small batches and keep repeating until he loses interest. The exact number will fluctuate. Remove any leftover bugs after mealtime.
