Beardie and hair?

Okay so i've had my beardie Digger for 2 weeks now, today I was falling asleep with him on my chest. He usually sleeps too when I felt a sudden movement. I figured the cat scared him so I ignored it but I felt something tugging at my hair and HE WAS VICIOUSLY ATTACKING IT AND EATING IT. He just ate a huge salad too! So I managed to set him down , brushed my hair , picked him up and he ripped off a little x_x Then I fed him more of his salad and he calmed down. Has this happened to anyone else!?!?! :shock:

Yes its happened before and it shouldn't be allowed. Long hair can get entangled in the intestines if they eat too much. If he tries again, you might want to make a pony tail when you hold him.

My hair sheds...a lot and kasai is constantly trying to eat it. Don't let them. pulling hair out of a lizards butt or mouth is not fun and can harm them. I like the pony tail idea. if you have short hair take bobby pins and pin it back so its not as attractive to him

Both of mine have attempted to eat my hair.

Mr Dargon was sitting on my shoulder when i felt tugging. he was just munching away on my hair. i pulled it out of his mouth, he was fine.

i had Tasty Treat out and I had just washed my hair. a curly lock was bouncing around a little and she ran over and attacked it.

Neither of them have tried to eat my hair after that one time. they both realized it wasn't food.

roshi tried doing that one day, I took my hair out of her mouth and moved it to the other side, she did it again and I put my hair up she hasn't done it since

Simon doesn't eat my hair, he actually likes to nuzzle it and hide in it, especially if it's wet. Odd...
