Beardie age One - slowing down and lazy?

Hi all

Our beardie Randall is just over a year old now and he has really started to slow down with everything. He poops about every 2-3 days and enjoys having a bath; we have slowly changed his diet to mainly veggies; offer some locusts every other day and a few morio worms. We check his temps regulalry and all seems well but he is always under his log hiding away. If I dont move him he will stay there all day and night and follow through into the next day; this means he wont have any food.

Is this normal? His UV light is nearly 8months old so I have ordered a new one this week Reptisun 10.0

When beardies start to get older do they tend to chill out more and stay in the cooler end?

We normally take him to see the vet every 3-6 months for a weight check and stools check.

I have a 3 yr old beardie and he stays in his hide a lot too! I think he is bored so i take him out of his cage and give him a warm bath, so he'll "go"... and then I take him outside to get some sunshine and let him explore the living room... he almost always does better after a break from his tank, both eating and basking. hope yours is ok

Yea he is ok... I have had him out and we have had lots of cuddles and he has run around the flat over the weekend. I think he is just a lazy bones!!! He has been eating more and appears a happy chappy
