I had a silk aquarium plant in with my girl Simon and she would randomly try and tear a piece off in a very ferocious/alligator/thrashing manner, never succeeded thankfully. I removed it regardless. She would also try and eat my sleeves, the carpet, buttons off the remote (just the yellow ones), and fake greens off of veggie chips bags. I miss her.
My new baby girl and big boy Richter both have artificial plants in their enclosure and neither have tried to eat them, and they can tell the difference between the edible greens and the fake. The closest either of them get to eating them is just taste-touching them in lizard fashion. Alucard actually loves to lay in one of her plants. Enjoy it now while it can hold your weight!
Richter has eaten some small pebbles I placed in his enclosure to fill some gaps, stupidly thinking he would leave those be, those were removed immediately after he showed interested (he was able to eat two of them while picking him up, and they "passed" fine) so I figure if he wanted to eat his fake plants he would have by now  silly dragons...
