bearded dragon weight?

I took my beardy to the vet. He weighed in at .620kg/1.370lb . My vet says he is thin for his age 14 months.
Then again he also said he cant sex him because it is to difficult. He was not eating so well but is quite alert now. I think he was hibernating. My vet did not ask me about food, lights,vitamins, uvb or anything.He just passed me a $300 bill. I think I need a new vet. Or more important Achilles needs a new vet.

Now that I am done venting. does anyone know if this is an appropiate weight for him? I would really appreciate it.

Weight is more proportionate to his length than his age.

Achilles is 20 1/4" long and just about the sweetest thing around. Thank You for posting that site. Not to sound dumb though. How do I convert to grams? Its been a few years since I have done anything more complex than my sons sixth grade math.

your buddy is 621.421 grams (but you already know that because you said he was.621 kg's.
To convert pounds to metric, multiply by 453.592 or do what I do and go to http://www.metric-conversions.org/weight/pounds-to-grams.htm and type in what you want to convert.
He does seem to weigh ok for 20" long to me.
My dragon is 16+ long and weighs 500 grams.
So add 4 inches and add 100 grams and you are where you should be.

Thank You very much. So my guy is kinda big. Ifeel much better now. When he first started to hibernate I flipped. I didnt know why all he wanted to do is sleep, and he hardly ate. So I ran him to the vet. But now I know. Im glad he is awake now though. We missed him lots. Still slow eating but is very active. I read it is normal to slowly start eating again. I hope thats right! I have never seen him so active, and he wants out to play lots too.
Im so glad i found this site.There is lots of info on the net but you cant always find what you are looking for. Glad to know im not alone.
