Bearded Dragon Survey 2013

Hi,

Firstly sorry this is kind of self promotional but for a good cause - I know I don't post here frequently and am a lurker!

Anyway, I'm trying to get as many responses to a survey on Bearded Dragons, questions ranging from habitat conditions to diet. There are very few compulsory questions and it should take about 5 minutes to complete.

From these results I then want to publish out the data for everyone to read and hopefully educate - for instance in the data collected already there is a correlation between people not using any calcium dusting and MBD

Also other worrying trends around UVB and viv sizes for beardies. Trouble is my sample set is still relatively small and ideally I need to get this into the 1,000's to make it more representative.

Just an idea on the feeding page, you might want to add Dubia Roaches, a lot of people here use them.

it's still early days for the survey so as long as each question gets enogh responses, the lack of options for < 1 month and < a week etc... should get balanced out.

I need to get more responses, I'm only at about 150 right now, it needs to get to the 1,000's to be meaningful so I'll run it to the end of the year or until I get passed 1,000 (whichever comes first).

One suggestion would to be to add the powersun as a UVB source.I know most people do use the tube UVB but those of us who do use the powersun or other MVB bulbs will answer no to the strip UVB and could effect your results on UVB.

I took your survey but the dusting crickets question.. I do 5 days a week and 2 days of multivitamins but there wasn't a close answer other than daily which I wouldn't think would be accurate for your results...

On the substrates, add tile and make it so you can choose multiple substrates. I use both tile and repticarpet.

Suggestion: add a 'he doesn't use the bathroom in his tank' option for how often do you clean the tank. Mine uses the bathroom outdoors and I know other people use their bathtub and then sanitize it. Nice survey. Good luck!

That would probably count as the weekly/monthly option beacuase you probably still clean the tank every once in a while even though they don't "go" in it.

You should add the option for both freeze dried and live insects.

You might want to add Blatta lateralis aka Rusty reds which are another kind of roach or just roachs in general i know a lot of people that feed rusty reds to their beardies
