Bearded dragon stressed?

My little Godzilla just got a new heat light for his cage, as it is getting colder. It's a 100 watt infrared basking spot light from Exo-Terra, and I think it's stressing him out. He's used to a black light instead of a red one, and even tho his temps are where they should be, his beard is black constantly, unless if I take him out to play or take him out to put him in his blanket to but him to sleep. His colors are bright despite the dark beard, and he has stress marks too. He's also been extremely active, more than usual. He wakes me up from all the moving around he does. He's been slamming his nose into the sliding doors of his cage to get my attention if I'm in my room, but that usually happens after he poops. I have him out now, and after a few minutes, he made himself comfy on my fuzzy blanket and has a normal colored beard and very slight stress marks that seem to be going away. Is he stressed out? Thanks :)

Also by really active I mean sitting still for a few seconds then moving around again and jumping from the ground to the higher levels in his cage.

I'm fairly new to beardies myself, so someone else here could probably give you better advice than I. I do know, however, that bearded dragons are one of few lizard species that can see red light, so if it's on at night it's likely disrupting his sleep. I use a ceramic heat emitter myself, and it works great. Also, do you have a probe thermometer you can double check the temps with? It might be too hot in there for him.

I know it doesn't disturb his sleep, because he has a blanket I put him in and pet him until he falls asleep. Then I wrap him up and put him in the cage. It's always covering his head, and I leave a hole so he can breathe/get out, but no light enters the hole really. I'm thinking it might be too hot as well, and there's a probe thermometer sticking in where his basking spot is, and it reads 90 now.
But that's fine isn't it? Maybe I should get a temp gun.

Hi. Yes it does bother him at day and at night. Beardies can see the red light and is not good at all to use for basking or night heat source. The red light makes it feel like they are in the dusk all the time. He needs a white basking bulb during the day (you can use a regular houshold bulb 60 watt) and a che for night. However if it doesn't get below 65 at night then he doesn't need a heat source. Beardies need to cool down at night and complete darkness to sleep.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
