Hello bearded owners my 6 month old dragon has been rapidly getting fat. I just switched to a new food that she loves and can't enough of I'm wondering if it's making her sick though like an allergy if that's possible?
Her stools are fine she's pooping normal, tank heat is good, humidity in the tank is good, the tank is clean, no signs of stress, her belly is plump but soft.
She looks perfectly content, active, drinking lots of fresh water and sleep is normal. Is it a possibility she could be carrying eggs? She does have a male in the tank with her.

Please separate them ASAP and take her to the vet right away. If she is gravid this could be life threatening as she is way to young to be laying eggs, the youngest safest age to do so is 18 months or 24 months as they are more mature and able to handle the stress.

Can you post pictures of their setup, and her especially?

Okay there is so many things wrong with the setup,

1. The substrate will kill them, they do not live on sand in the wild. All particle substrates will cause impaction, eye irritation, eye infections, fungal infections and death. You need paper towels, non adhesive shelf liner, or tile.

2. The food your offering is worthless, pellets are entirely useless unless you run out of actual food for a small amount of time. Best things to offer for salads are collard greens, mustard greens and turnip greens.

3. Your lighting is not enough to help this beardie grow, and if she is gravid this would definitely kill her most likely as egg laying takes a lot of calcium and nutrients away which can be a large strain on your still young growing beardie. However from the pics you provided she just seems a bit bloated, however if she is housed with a male then it could be likely she has the possibility of being gravid. The correct lighting you want is a Reptisun or arcaidia T5 HO 10.0 tube light with a reflective fixture to fit it. Generally you want a 22" or 30" for 20-40 gallons, personally would go with the 30" as it will go over the whole tank of a 40 gallon. Even if you have a 20 gallon it would be good to have as then you dont have to buy another fixture and bulb later on if needed.
You can get these on amazon for a cheap price along with the fixtures.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
