I have a 72x18x24 tank for my beardie Fi. She is 7-8 months old. My setup also includes a climbable 3-d background that spans the whole tank. I also have a reptisun 10.0 spanning the whole top.
The tank has a 150 watt basking bulb on the right 3rd, which had the temps range from 105 on the floor to 120 at the top of the wall
The Middle third i have a 150 watt ceramic bulb which makes temps low to mid 80's on floor and high 90's at the top.
The left 3rd has no light and ranges low 70s on floor to maybe low 80's on top.
My concern is, I hear all this talk that beardies need a basing spot of around 105-110, how she rarely ventures over to the basking side. She may venture over there to dig or have a quick explore. But she never spends any substantial time near the basking light. Instead she spends MOST of the day under the ceramic light, but even then, her "spot" is one of the nooks in the wall that has a temp rang of mid 80's.
I just find it curious that she never goes near the basking bulb, even on ground level. Does she just prefer cooler temps.
Thanks
