BD sleeping during the day

i have a 2 month old BD that is sleeping off and on during the day, is this something to worry about. She eats really well (about 20 crickets and a fair amount of mustard greens a day) poop is normal and is active while awake.
temps=108 and 82 digital probe
bulb=sun 10 tube
40 gall breeder
lights on from 7:30-9:30 and she does not get disturbed after the lights go out at night.
i don't leave any feeders in the cage at night (am extremely careful)
I don't know why she acts this way, i bought a pair of sisters and the other one acts completely normal (they are not caged together or within site of each other)

How oftern do you bathe your dragon?

I would personally lower your basking to range between 102 and 105, cool side sounds good.

repti sun 10, and i bath once a week. but i mist every day usually first thing. she doesn't seem dehydrated her urate is pure white no color at all

Personally I disagree...it is to my understanding that younger beardies like it a little warmer then adults. 105-110 for young bds and 100-105 for adults.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong

Beardielover I agree with you for smaller younger beardies they do prefer the warmer temps than an adult most of the time.(see how I covered myself? :lol: )

My experience with baby and juvie temps are..........
I find if it's under 105* beardie babies and juvies will have less of an appetite and will tend to be lazier(sluggish) than if temps are at least 105*. If the temps are closer to 110* or above then they either start glass dancing in a panic to get out or will lay motionless on the cool floor of their viv in an attempt to cool down. They may also try to hide from the heat in their hides. This is just my experience.

I have a couple of questions for Scott when you say your beardie is sleeping during the day...do you mean like napping while basking? Or like laying at the bottom of the viv or hiding in a hide sleeping? An is this for long periods of time(great portion of the day) or just like cat napping during the day?

i think one important point to this temp thing, is making sure that you provide the options for the BD to choose. he has to be able to choose what temps he is comfortable with so be sure you provide temps of 100 THOUGH 110 and the BD will choose what is best.

she will wake up in the morning and go to here basking spot until she is good and warm then she will run around for a while eat a everything in site and take a bask again. after this she will hide under her bask spot for a while and sleep or just lay there. she does not stay there for more than about an hour that i have seen but it is like when people eat to much and get sleepy she repeats this routine after about every feeding. but it doesn't seem that she is hot because she gapes when she is hot and she doesn't do this while hiding out under that rock.
