Bathing

So Pouncey absolutely hates having baths and I was just wondering if it is possible that he will start liking them in time? I have had him for 2 weeks now and he has had 6 baths total. I have a small rubbermaid dish washing tub and I put a cup of water in it (90-95 degrees) and then put him in it. The water is very low...just up to the bottom of his belly. His back end gets completely submerged because of how he sits in there.

At first he would just stand there and let me get my hands wet and pet him. Now that he is starting to get comfortable with me, when I try to do this, he jumps up on my hand and runs up out of the water :/ I wasn't really sure what to make of it so I let his bath time be over but it was seriously only like a minute! I am not sure if I need to just give him some tough love and force him to stay in there or if he knows whether he needs a bath or not. All of the beardies I see on here seem to really enjoy bath time!

Some love it (mine does) some hate it.

I give Tiki a bath every day - about 10 minutes. It's the only place she'll poop!

I use the kitchen sink after it's scrubbed and boiled clean. Dragons DO need baths... maybe try an enclosure that your little dragon can't hop out of. Hopefully he'll come around!

He really can't hop out of it on his own. I put the water as low as I can where he can keep his butt in there since he is just a baby. The only way his back gets wet is if I get my hands wet and pet his back. It is as soon as I put my hands in there, he jumps up on my hands. Do I just need to leave him alone for 10 minutes and then try to get his back? Tough love sucks

Loki doesn't really care for baths either. I put her in a rubbermaid container with luke warm water (not
hot to burn her) and just let her roam around, she tries to crawl out but its too big for her. Sometimes
you have to live with tough love.
