Bath Water

What should the temp of the bath water and the water in the tank be? i've been bathing Kasai in warm water and the water in the tank has been room temp.

side note, went to the vet and kasai is in perfect health and the vet is very happy with how well hes adjusted to me and my boyfriend despite the fact he is shy and very jumpy around people.

no hotter than you would make it for a baby...i make geicos the temp just lower than his basking spot..between the basking temp and warm side

This is going to come across as stupid for most people. I've never bathed a baby. ( i know years of baby sitting and not once did i have to bathe a baby) So I'm just estimating. Would it be like the temp you warm milk up to for a baby? If its warm on your wrist type thing

My Havoc likes his bath water to be between 98-102 degrees. I just put an aquarium thermometer in the tub to monitor the temp.

exactly... or you can measure the temp of the water with a thermometer to be more accurate and make the water slightly cooler than the temp of the basking spot... I usually use the wrist method (I've had practice with that one <--- 2 kids)

He liked the water way better. had it to hot before. he even put up more of fight when i put him back in the tank. usually he just turns around and accepts that i'm putting him in. today it was a battle.

Use the inside of your wrist (the softest most sensitive spot) and make it comfortable to your wrist there. I make mine slightly warmer than that since it cools fast.
