Basking with head down?

What does it mean when they bask with their heads down, vs. held up toward the light?

I've seen mine do both, in the same spot with the same temps at different times.

Someone else asked in another topic "is he basking with his head down?" so I'm just curious as to what this indicates.

Yes, sometimes he just lays flat with his chin on the rock, and other times he's stetched up toward the lights, sort of up on his elbows... any ideas?

I would imagine it being a simple as sometimes you like to sit up and sometimes you like to lay down.

No worries Mine does the same. It just means he's relaxed.

I think it is so cute when Scorch does that. She'll just settle in to her log after a while and stretch her legs completely out and dangle an arm (off the log). Although sometimes I feel bad like she's bored :*(
