Hey I have my bearded dragon in a 40 gal breeder tank. I have been using a 75 watt bright white as his basking spot in his 30 gal and it kept temps up where they needed to be...His temps in the 40 gal setup is at 92 at the upper gradient of the hammock area. What watt of bulb do most of you use in a 40 gal setup to get your warm side and temp gradient to be proper? I need to run to the store and get a ceramic heat bulb for nights so I'd like to get them in one trip I read through the newbie guide and know the different effects between incandescent and bright white w/ 3000+k rating but no discussion on watts that most people find to be effective per tank size.
Sorry that seems redundant and rant-like. But thanks for any input
