Setting up my son's tank officially now and seems like I might have been planning a bit much in the lighting department...please correct me if I'm going overboard and point me in the right direction.
48 inch tank so 48 inch reptisun 10.0 uvb fluorescent bulb 32 watt
basking had earmarked trex active uv heat
they are both uv...will we need this or was I supposed to have just one or the other as the uvb source and then either a different cage light or a different basking light?
Also for looks, I want to go ahead and put the play sand in the enclosure but as he's getting something under the age of 1 year I'd like to block that area of the enclosure. Is there a good way to temporarily put a piece of glass in to block the sand of from the baby and still let me look at it as a whole since we've decided that the living room is going to be the safest. It has the most even temp range throughout the year.
