My OH has a roughly 1 year old Ball Python. He has within the last 48 hours developed 3 lumps around his head/face & over 1 eye what can only be described a raised scales/bubbles, or even blisters. They are definately not mites. What advice would you give ??????
Can you post some pics?
Honestly, I'm betting a vet trip would be the best move.
If you don't already have one; you can find a good herp vet at http://www.herpvetconnection.com
Yeah, pics would help a lot. Do you think it is internal or external? Ticks are a possibility. If they are colored similarly to the snake, it may look like a bump. They are much larger than mites, too. Or, it could be a blister of some sort.
did you happen to feed recently? notice if the ball got bit or not? pics as said may help but being the quick progress i would say its time for a vet visit
