For now still working on the gut loading crickets and putting fresh veggies in the terrarium method since she's still young~ if she still doesn't eat when she reaches 4 months old I will have to try baby food as the last option~ Both of your method makes sense and thank you for the opinion~ 2 more months to wait~ she's 9 1/2 weeks old now ^^~

the young beardies almost never eat their veggies. they are like kids... they grow to like them. put the veggies in the tank to offer them. the beardie will eventually try them, though it may take a while. when they are adults their diet should consist of 80% veggies and 20% crickets. they need more crickets when they are young to get the protien for growing up. they dont need as much protien as adults.

if the beardie still isnt eating try..
- giving a viriaty of fruits wth the veggies. mine goes crazy for grapes
- trick the beardie into eating the veggies. for example, my beardie loves grapes so i would squeeze a grape over the veggies so they taste like grape.
 but "miss smarty pants" caught on after a while and went back to normal

hope i helped

Nice to hear a reply from a young enthusiast,...BUT...there is a way to get babies to eat greens. Whoever is breeding MUST introduce the greens as soon as crickets. Yes,the babies prefer+ need the protein but the dark leafy greens are as much a staple[ not so much squash, fruit, etc.] as the crickets. They are what provide calcium+abundance of minerals, along with helping with hydration+ bowel function. Try shredding the mustard, turnip greens into tiny pieces and DROPPING them in the tank. If you use sand as a substrate, drop it on a paper plate so that the sand[which I wouldn't use for a baby, even the calcium type stuff ] doesn"t get on the veggies. The movement of dropping will attract the baby and I've never raised a baby that wasn't eating greens by 2-3 weeks old.It must be done from the time the breeder hatches them and they begin eating.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
