Baby bearded dragon help please!!

Hi there guys,

I have a baby bearded dragon i rescued of someone. It is 5 weeks old. and i got him on wednesday 26th.

He ate a very small locust the day after, And he has not eaten since as far as im aware.

I try to count how many small locust/crickets hes been eating. and they wasnt touched i believe.

I have been supplying him with lettuce and things, And people say its relocation stress. But is it? Hes 5 weeks old his previous owner breeds bearded dragons and has never used UVB (we in UK)..

He has a 3foot vivarium (its all i had on very short notice) .. He has UVB 10.0 and has a heat bulb. The heat is fine and the UVB is fine. As i have another adult bearded dragon 3 years old.

How long does relocation stress last? And how much locust/cricket can he eat? Im really worried and the vet near me which is only 1 is full till next friday.

please help dont wana lose the little fella. Ive had him since wednesday and hes had 2 poo's

Relocation stress generally lasts one week, give or take 2-3 days. However there are exceptions to every rule (just keep that in mind). You can use a pro-biotic to help the dragons stress levels and keep the beneficial gut flora at optimal levels. Letting the beneficial gut flora drop allows negative gut flora to flourish.

Ensure you are offering feeders no larger then the space between the dragons eyes, soft bodied feeders can be some what larger then those with chitin shells. If your dragon eats a feeder which is too large there is a chance for impaction.

Also keep in mind to dust for a dragon of it's age, there is a dusting schedule as well as easy to read chart of food for bearded dragons here >>

what brand is your UVB light? was wondering if it was the reptiglow 10.0 or the reptisun 10.0?

reptiglow tubes are known to cause problems the best UVB tube in the uk is the arcadia d3 12%. i order mine online from www.reptilekeeping.co.uk

if youve managed to get a reptisun then thats just as good however i no they are quite hard to get in the uk.

hes fantastic, has eaten loads today and took a poo. I thought i posted this but seems to be posting again xD..

I will take him to vet and will look at the site thank you for all your support
