Automatic lighting cycles

i was wondering if anyone knew how to setup automatic lighting that turns off and on at certain times in the day? id like them to automatically turn on at say like 7:00 AM and shut off at like 9-10:00Pm. i keep reading these post about people doing this but im not sure at all how to go about doing it. if anyone can link me lights or something that would be greatly appreciated.

Just get a 10$ timer from WalMart or a Home Depot style store. Even a pet store will have a light timer.... although they may charge abit more. You can buy them online also. I like the digital style ones. They usually plug into the wall then you plug your lights into the unit itself.... then set the time on the device... then choose the 'ON' time and 'OFF' time for the light. A 7am to 10pm light cycle would be a lil long... usually you wanna shoot for 12-13 hour cycle. Hope this helps.

I use a HerpStat Pro it's probably overkill but I love the simulated sunrise/sunset. It slowly raises the instensity of the bulb to simulate the sunrise/sunset.

get one at home depot or big lots they are only 4 or 5 dollars cheapest around and its really easy to figure out its just bulky but I assume there like that

Do you have a particular name of a timer from WalMart of Home Depot? I am finding some but not ones that have different timing options on different ports. I am just wondering if there is a cheaper option than the pet ones. Thanks!
