What are you Aussies finding in the way of greens to feed your BD's. This morning I picked up some Endive and some baby basil in a pot...but it doesn't look the same as the picture that i have seen on Beautiful Dragon. Is there a change in names from American to Australian? For example what is Collard Greens?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
thanks

Hi,
I'm sure this discussion is in another post here somewhere and that collard greens is something that we don't have.
I use Woolworths baby herb mix, and there's another pre mix bag that has lots of tatsoi in it. Can't remember what it's called. Also bok choy, coriander, basil, parsley and small amounts of dark red lettuce.

I've never found collards where I live either, the grocery stores said they used to carry them but the younger generation doesn't eat them.

This is what endive looks like:

And it's what I use as a staple green.

Note: The edges are often greener, but not always.

Thanks, I have looked but can't see anything that resembles these leaves. I have spoken to a couple of people and they tend to feed greens that are out of the garden, eg wandering Jew, hibiscus, danilion etc

I have just increased his intake to nearly double the cricks he was getting........realised eventhough he looked healthy enough he is still very small...... 7 and a half inches at 4 months old. Any have been giving him natural sun light twice a day.

By chance do you have the house plant known as Hens and Chicks ? This is also safe for feeding.
I wouldn't do the ivy,(wandering jew) not too sure about that. Hibiscus is great, so is dandelions. As for protein, you can offer small woodies, no longer than the distance between the dragons' eyes.

Hope this helps out !
Janie.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
