My new dragon (just got yesterday) a fly got into the tank. I took the top off for sunlight next to the window a fly got in and before I could shoo it out the dragon ate it! Is that ok
yeah, as long as it's a common house fly, you have nothing to worry about. My Argos did that and he was fine, I couldn't believe my eyes how fast he was to snag it right out of the air.
First of all, as stated above, it should be just fine
The quickness of dragons still amazes me - Tiki ate a cricket in mid-jump once. I'm still not sure how she pulled that one off - her little tongue is FAST!
I am sure the fly is harmless and that your dragon will be fine. In your post you mention having your tank in the sunlight in front of the window. It is never a good idea to put a glass (or plastic) tank in direct sunlight as the tank can superheat and kill your dragon. I just wanted to give you a heads up because unfortunately I have heard of too many dragons being killed this way.
Should be fine, but keep a close eye on your little one, make sure that your little one is eating and pooping normally, you never know if that fly had some pesticides on it or not. Other wise there should be no issue
we get flys in our house all the time and they are always attracted to the reptile tanks  he should be fine as long as you arent feeding flys to him every day.
