Anyone want a female adult beardie?

Anyone looking for an adult female Beardie or have room to love one? At the Petco near my house, there is an adult female that was found in a dumpster nearby and is up for adoption. She had mouth rot and a digestive problem that she was treated for by the vet and is all better. They don't know how old she is. They have had it for over a month and no one has been interested in it, and they said if they can't adopt it off soon they will have to euthanize it. I would take it myself, but I already have two of my own and can't afford to have another one. Does anyone want to provide a good/loving home to her?

I live in MN and was thinking if someone was out of state and wanted her, I could get her and ship her out. I just don't know what to do because I hate to see a Beardie struggling to find a good home!

Where in MN is she? I might be able to take her in. Problem is I'm leaving next Thursday for a week so I'd have to wait until I got back :? Any pics of her?

I live in St. Paul, and she is in Burnsville, MN. I am willing to get her and meet you. I don't currently have pics but I am planning on going in and taking some.

You for sure have room and time to give her a loving home?

Oh yes - I have 3 and I make time for all of them. She'd get plenty of love and attention I might have to leave my husband in the dark because he said my cut-off was three, but there's no way I'd knowingly let a beardie get euthanized just because no one wants her and I have the resources to take care of her. Only thing I'm missing is a tank and a ballast for another UVB which I won't have problems procuring.

I live in Brooklyn Park but work in Mpls right off 94 & Broadway, so maybe we could meet halfway when I'm back, perhaps during my lunch break?

How is she doing otherwise, would you say? Any missing fingers/tail? I can't believe people put animals they don't want in dumpsters, how heartless

Perfect! We could definitely meet up no problem! Or we can meet at a place near your house or halfway when you are off of work so that you can take her home right away?
I'm so beyond happy that I found someone to give her a chance at a wonderful happy life I actually teared up when I saw that you could take her and give her the love and care she needs.

I haven't noticed anything all of her fingers are there and her tail is all there. The only thing is that her top lip folds up a bit on her left side of her mouth from the mouth rot that she used to have. She is on the skinny side as well I would say.

Well I mentioned it to my husband and he basically flipped out :? I could only take her temporarily and then have to find her a new home...which I guess I could do that once she's good and healthy. I worry about finding her a home after though...they are not like dogs/cats who have adoption events hosted for them.

Awwww. If I had known about her a week ago I could have taken her. I had been looking for beardies on Craigslist for the last month, but I just bought a baby from a breeder online a few days ago. I couldn't afford to buy another tank and stuff right now. That sucks. I hope she finds a good home.

Oh who am I kidding. I've been planning on moving my ball python out of his 40g tank for a while anyway. I've been thinking about her all afternoon and I can't turn her down if she still needs a home. I have worked with rescues and reptiles that needed rehabbed before. I'm a sucker for animals with such a strong will to live after going through something like that. If she still needs a home and you think she is healthy enough to be shipped to Arkansas, yes I will take her. Let me know what you think.

Here is the thing, I just went in to check on her and they brought her into the vet for a checkup. She is totally clear of mouth rot, but she has a swollen salvitory gland which may have to be removed with time. As of right now, she is eating wonderfully and full of energy. Her beard swells up with fluid here and there, and until it becomes uncomfortable for her and effects her eating habits, it won't have to be removed. The vet said it can be treated, but it also does not have to be treated based on her comfort. Apparently she is very comfortable at the time right now. But, they do not recommend shipping her because they don't think she would do that well being that she just recovered and now she has the salvitory problem. They are worried it will be too stressful on her and they said in the past, adults like this don't do well with shipment.

So, it sounds like it would be best if someone in MN would be willing to take her in.

Just a thought. You could set up a rescue train. It wouldn't be as harsh for her as shipping, would it? I hope she finds a loving forever home, poor girl.
