anyone know these things are?

so i just went to feed my little man, and when i knocked the roaches off the egg flat into a small tub, these things were with them! no idea what they are, can any of help? ill be changing the egg flats and cleaning out the tub regardless tho lol

i think they look like some type of cleaner crew. shouldn't be a problem.

probably. i've only seen them once here, and if i remember correctly it was in with a new order of roaches.

Yes some feeder insect companies put them in with feeder insects like crickets + roaches to eat up the shed skin and the frass. Those are the larva of the dermestid beetle which turns in to a small hard shelled black insect. They can fly short distances so if I see the beetles I crush them. They are used by taxidermist, forensic specialists and museums to remove tissue from bones.

It is interesting, I didn't realize this link was a taxidermy co. but I guess I gave them a free plug accidentally. :)

so i kept some in a seperate tub. now they look a bit different than before, more whitish grey. if they are actually cleaner crew ill leave them be and let them help keep the roach tub a cleaner lol
