any suggestions

Hi my beardie is 2 years old and when I first got him at 6 months old he always pooped in the corner of his Viv which was great now in the last 3 months he will not go at all in his Viv I thought something was wrong at first as he would go a whole week without going until on the weekends when I can let him out if his viv for a good hour he will then only go on the carpet he will not even go when he has a bath even if he gad one everyday so can anyone give me some suggestions on how I could potty train him into going back to doing it in his Viv as I don't like him not going everyday.

Hmm, that's odd. I've heard of dragons not going unless they are in the bath, but not-not going in the bath and only on the carpet, lol.
Lots of dragons don't like to poop in their tank, and if they have alternatives they may take that option instead. I suppose it's possible he doesn't like going in the tub for the same reason.

If I were you, I'd try putting a small piece of carpet in his tank and see if he starts pooping on it. You could also try putting him in a bathroom with a small piece of carpet before he gets his excersize time and see if he will poop on it in there instead of on your floor.

You could either try reptile carpet or even small carpet samples, as long as the threads are not loose enough for him to accidently ingest.

Hi thanks for your quick reply. Well its funny his substrate is reptile carpet lol. I know when he used to do it in his viv he would go as far away from it as he could lol a while ago he did it and i couldn't clean it up till i got home from work so he was in the Viv all day with it bless him as far away as he could get and i think since then he has never done it in his Viv but i keep giving him baths everyday and he will not do anything till the weekends when i let him run around for as long as he wants till he climbs back in his viv then he will do it on either me and the mrs bed or on the floor and he will do it both Saturday and Sunday going everyday like he should but come Monday that's it nothing till the weekend even when i get home at 6 during the week i let him out so he can do it but i guess he's gone all day without doing it and then he can't so he goes all week without going. I know nothing is wrong with him as he has had a fecal exam and he is all healthy and basks as he always has. But i think not going all week come middle of the week he stops eating as much as he does at the beginning of week which i don't blame him lol. It's just very difficult as i can't help not letting him out during the day but like i said he aways used to but he would just go really far away from it till i cleaned it up when i get home and he has done that for 2 years till 3 months ago so I just dont know what to do.

You could try giving him a few drops of olive oil 30 or so minutes before his baths. It acts as a natural laxitive and hopefully will get him going in the tub. Some dragons start holding it in if they know they don't have to go in their tank.
Him only pooping on the weekends is not good, especially if on the weekends he poops daily.

Hi, i took your advice and gave him a few drops when i got home thursday and when i went into the kitchen and came back a few mins later he must have been diying to go as i found a big load in the corner so i took him out cleaned it up and gave him a bath then i came home friday and seen another load there and he did the same this morning when i woke up so it seems like he has got back into doing it in his viv again as i clean it up right away so he will know that he wont have to spend all day with it so thanks for your help much appricated i hope he keeps doing this
