We're still in a cycle of Spock not eating. No matter what we offer she just isn't interested. We give her a bowl of greens daily and replace them if they dry out during the day as well. We buy a mix of collard, mustard, turnip, and dandelion that we find available at the local grocery store. We will also add in butternut squash if it looks good. I had a good Dubia colony going but she wouldn't eat them anymore and since we're moving to TN soon I gave them to my local pet shop. We do have a few superworms and she'll eat one of those maybe every 3-4 days, but that's all. The rest of the day she either lays in her basking spot, or on the tile floor on the warm side of her tank. She's been to the vet 3 times in the last 3 months and all her fecal tests have come up negative. She's not pooping more than once every couple weeks, but I figured that was because she's just not eating.

We've had her for 14 months, she's 15.5" long and weighs 312g (she was up to 316 before she pooped last time) She's in a 40G breeder with a 24" reptisun 10.0 that we replaced in April, her cool side temps are around 78º, her warm side temps are kept between 86º-90º and her basking spot is around 105º-110º. We've never used sand, she's always been on shelf liner and currently is on tile.

This is a current picture of her sorry for the glare

Is there any chance she is gravid? When did she stop eating? I don't really know much about it as I have a male bearded dragon but some females, even without being exposed to a male, will develop and lay infertile eggs, and one of the symptoms before they lay eggs is a decreased appetite. Here's a link with some info:

Not sure if that's what's wrong but just an idea.

Also if she likes some type of fruit you could try and coax her to eat......my beardie at least goes crazy for raspberries....or put a little bit of sports drink on her veggies to entice her with the smell.

I really hope she feels better...good luck

Also found info on egg binding.....Do you think this could be a possibility:

We had thought about he possibly being gravid, but the vet doesn't think that's it, as she's been going like this for about 2.5 months now. She's also not trying to dig, but we did buy a large bucket and put some moist sand in it to see if she'd dig and lay, but no dice.

She has always snubbed fruit, but I'll give that.

I really do wish we could figure out just what the problem is. She's our first beardie (I had a iguana growing up that lived to be 15) and she was doing so well, after we moved her from my daughter's room to the living room. Then she seemed to go into brumation in late winter and never seemed to get back to her old self after that.

Oh man...to be honest I don't really have any other ideas as I am a first time beardie owner....but I hope someone else on here can find an answer for Spock. I would say keep trying to offer her different foods that may entice her and give her warm baths....sorry I don't have any other advice. I really hope she can get better....

Hi. Have you asked your vet to do an x-ray to see if maybe she's egg bound or has some kind of blockage causing impaction?

I was able to get Spock in to see our vet and he was fine with doing an x-ray. No Eggs, a little poop, they did manage to get her to poop when we were there, but there wasn't anything unusual about it and there wasn't a whole lot there (we all figure it's because she just hasn't been eating) The vet did run tests on her poo and it's negative for parasites and their is not elevated levels of bacteria or anything to warrant antibiotics.

They gave her fluids to make sure she was well hydrated and we're back to giving her Emer-aid two-three times a day. We will take her back in a couple weeks for a recheck before we have to move to TN. If she's not starting to eat on her own we will have to do bloodwork next.

I hope she handles the trip well.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
