Before you panic, Zinger is okay. Unfortunately, our dear hamster, Cookie died. That is part of why I stopped getting on. I was absolutely crushed. That's why I didn't post a Zinger video as promised. RIP little girl.

Other than that, everything has been great. Fortunately, things have been calming down. My mom has been giving me more free time so I can get online. I am trying to get on beardeddragon.org as much as I can from here on, but you know me! I can barely get on unless it's summer. Unfortunately, I will not be getting another bearded dragon as I wanted. My mom wanted to get me one for Christmas, too. I was very close. My pet days are over, and Zinger will be my last one. I know he'll be around for a long long time! :D

I hope everyone has been doing well! But guess what? We found a stray, and we are trying to find her a home. I have temporarily named her Tanzi, as that is my favorite name! She is a pitbull, and is so so sweet. She is fully house trained and we love her to death. My mom wants to know if anyone is willing to take her. We are willing to drive her a long distance as long as she gets a good home *cough*Sandi*cough.* Oops, looks like I have a little something in my throat *cough*JacquiBarberaDawnEveryoneElse*cough*

Quick Zinger story until tomorrow:
It was snowing and I allowed Zinger to peek out of the window. Automatically, he flung himself against the glass and started dancing. I set him on a chair next to my window, and he sat there quietly while I did my homework. Suddenly, I heard the rattle of the beads hung on my window. I looked back, and I could barely see his wittle nose peeking above the chair. He had gotten so eager to get outside, he had fallen in the crack between my window and chair. Of course, he gave me a heart attack and I ran over and snatched him away from the crevace of death. I just love my daily heart attack, don't you? :p

Haley, I'm very sorry to hear about your hamster Cookie.

I have so many animals right now I haven't the time for a new doggie.

Best of luck with that though.

It's good to hear that Zinger is doing good and to see you back around the forums. :D

Aw Haley, I'm sorry about Cookie. She was so cute. These little creatures get into our hearts and leave such a big mark!

My bf and I are actually considering getting a dog when we move into our new place in April, but I think we're just too far away to drive. We're up in Canada, so there's probably some kind of permit you'd need to bring her across the border too. I bet you can find a great home for her though. Do you have any pics?

OMG! Haley... don't scare me like that! I saw the title and almost started crying
Glad to hear Zinger is okay and up to his usual antics, LOL
I am sorry though that your hamster died. That is so sad :( I had hamsters growing up and remember how sweet and cuddly they were. I hope your pain eases with time sweet girl.

I wish I could take Tanzi off your hands, but just recently rescued a dog of my own from the pound. Her name is Bonnie and she is a sweetie as well. If you get a chance check out Bligg's thread. I have posted a pic of her there.
I hope you are able to find a nice home for Tanzi.

Don't be such a stranger. We miss you around here.

Thanks everyone! I'll go take some pictures of her right now. :) I certainly will get on little Bligg's thread on Friday! I can't wait to see this new puppy! I am really wanting to get on here for hours every day like I used to be able to. As soon as summer hits and I reduce to one sport and few extracurricular activities, I will certainly be on here when I'm not with friends! I have been having dreams about beardeddragon.org, so it's obvious that I'm having withdrawls, hehe! I didn't know I was missed this much! Good to know that there's more than one person happy about me coming back!

I made a new thread for Tanzi:

QUICK ZINGER STORY:

Just a few seconds ago, I stopped typing this and went to my room to finish up some homework. Zinger had been sitting on my chest the whole time, and I let him sit on my windowsill and look at the really pretty sunset while I did my homework. Every 30 seconds or less, I would look behind me to make sure he was still there and not falling into the "crevace of death" as mentioned in the first post. I heard him rustling around and I looked behind me to make sure he was okay. GONE. Automatically, I began to have a heart attack.

"okay okay. Calm down Haley."

BTW: Right now, my room is a HUGE mess. I moved all the clothes out of my chair and I couldn't find him. I looked in the corners and couldn't find him. I looked everywhere, but to no avail. I began to listen for the slightest shuffle; and finally, I heard it. I scrambled toward the noise and found him on the bottom shelf of my bookshelf. He was doing the sleepy butt-wiggle between two books and was trying to get to the back corner! My funny little dragon.

I think our beardies think alike! During the summer Elvis was on my window sill looking outside, all of a sudden he mustve saw something because he fell right into the "crevace of death" too. And the other night he was on my bed and I was *trying* to study for a history test, and I read ONE tiny paragraph and when I looked at the spot he was he was gone. So I went into panic mode and 5 mins later found him asleep under a few stuffed animals! Dont you just love their little minds  :D

And Im sorry about Cookie

Thank you for wishing me well about Cookie. :( I miss her a lot.

Yes, I do love their little minds! I think it's hilarious that you had such a similar experience with little Elvis! :laughing6:

Your welcome. I remember when my mouse Vamp (she liked to bite, thus the name Vamp) died. it was hard. and when my 1st bunny, Cody died. But time *helps* heal everything. Not completly, but it helps.

And yes I do too! They are so funny. How old is Zinger?

Me too! I almost didn't open up the thread because I didn't want to read about bad news.

I'm very sorry about Cookie. She looked like a really sweet hamster.

So glad to hear that Zinger's doing well -- even though he'd been giving you heart attacks

Does anyone know if a Husky would/could get along with a Pitbull??

She will get along with any dog. As long Zim as would get along with another dog, everything should be fine! :)

As a present, I made a hide for Zinger. After three weeks of having the hide, he still woldn't go inside, so I ended up just shoving him in there. That booger stayed in for two days! I have finally figured out that he won't go in unless you put him in, an then he never comes out. It's like he forgets how much he likes it unless he is exposed to it.

In other news, I got a new haircut and nose piercing! What has happened to me? :?: Don't worry, I'm done with piercings. Ears, nose, and bellybutton is all I would ever do, but I don't really want my bellybutton. So I'm pretty sure this is the last one. Just an FYI, I don't wear any hoops or spikes in my nose, just a small diamond lol. I'm not that daring, and don't personally care for that style. I haven't ever done anything too extreme...besides dying my hair blue :|

Question of the day/week: If you could go into any movie, what would it be? For me either Spirited Away or Lord of the Rings. I watch both ALL THE TIME...

That silly Zinger! What to do with these beardies?!(that should actually be the question of the week,LOL)

So you got a new haircut and nose piercing, huh! I got a new haircut as well yesterday, but will have to pass on the nose piercing. My tatoo is enough bodily damage for me

Answer to your question of the day/week.... I would love to go into a period movie set in the 1700's-1800's, like Pride and Prejudice. I am a hopeless romantic, believe it or not!

Haley-darling child that you are, if you ever scare us like that again I think we will have to instill a very serious discilpine of some sort. Can't ground you from the site 'cause we miss you too much. Maybe Auntie Dawn can think of something suitable!
While I am very happy Zinger is fine and into trouble (as usual) I am so sad to hear that Cookie passed over to the Rainbow bridge. Hamsters are such darling pets.
We can't take another dog, sorry. As if our golden didn't eat enoough, someone dropped off a much bigger dog late fall. He eats like a horse! And when spring comes we will wind up with more drop offs to find homes for.
You could make up for scaring us by posting a few picts. Please.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
